@TheTeamScooter our parrot imitates the barking of our dog in this vid but also likes to do the barking of other dogs that have a different sound, and even howling of dogs exactly as they do. It's not barking at the dog but just fun for him to do what the dog also does. They are good friends, They can also sit side by side on the floor patiently waiting for a biscuit without biting to eachother. That's nice isn't it? He likes tot talk a lott, and repeats the things he once heared easely. Most words are in dutch, our language, but he also speaks a little bit bit other languages, wich he has heared from for example television or you tube.

@reaperruup Hoi, Manus heeft van kleins af aan ontdekt dat taal ook een communicatiemiddels is ;) Het is de actie en interactie die er tussen vogel en mens kan zijn. Het is de manier waarop we met hem omgaan. We doen geen training. Eigenlijk is het vaak zielig als een papegaai getraind wordt om allerlei kunstjes te moeten vertonen, vinden wij. Manus mag lekker zichzelf zijn. Een papegaai behoort eigenlijk tot de wilde dieren, iedereen die er eentje wil aanschaffen zou zich goed moeten verdiepen
@egel313 Bedankt, elke week horen we wel wat nieuwe woorden, maar vooral zinnen. Ook als hij alleen in een kamer of buiten is praat hij urenlang achter elkaar goed verstaanbaar. En af en toe bedenkt hij een mix van bestaande woorden. Praten is zijn grote hobby. Manus is now 3 years old, had his birthday last week. And yes it is our bird. Came to our home at the age of 12 weeks and said his first word very clear a small 2 weeks later: Kiekeboe! after someone overhere was hiding behind a door.

Hello, nice to know this vid now is available also in the search results of your country. Than now more people can have lol about this. Most parrots don't talk as much as Manus does. If they start talking (wich is not always sure) mostly they say maybe 5 till 20 words but not 300 or 500. Hello Draives, maybe....we don't know or dit not pay attencion to that sound. Manus does en says so many things, sometimes we don't recognize what he is doing. But the most he says is very clear in our language. He now is 2 years old and knows about 350 words without teaching him anything. He learns very quick and after one time hearing he does exactly the same.

We are from Holland and the most words he speaks are dutch. It are a lott, every week he learns new words very easy because talking is his favorite thing. He was very young and one time listened einstein the parrot so he rembered suddenly chimpansee oe oe oe a a a Now these days , we are a year furher, he knows more than 300 words and speaks them very clear. Every week he speaks new words, and we don't teach him, we just talk to him after he says something. Talking is his most favorite thing to do hahaha.

@dmcenery2 Hello, Manus is a lott in the living room and there is also a tv but he pays no attention for that. We think he does not like to watch. The most popular thing he wants is talking with us haha. And of course listen to our guitar playing. He knows many songs. Maybe he also likes Scooby Doo, we 'ill see.

@Madara757 Thank you, yes we know that. And most grey parrots don't speak more than 300 words already when they are not grown up yet.
He is happy with us and never has a bad tempure. Likes to talk and sing the whole day, also when we make new vids with guitarlessons and goes on and on also when for example the phone rings. Than he goes to another room of course, because mostly it goes on and on. He even thinks up his own words hahaha Greetings Geer and Greetje

Manus easely repeats all he hears, so that would not be to difficult haha. All that he thinks is funny he likes to repeat. He is now 2 years old and knows more than 300 words already, he likes to talk the whole day and also to sing songs. @jeanpierre156 Hoi, ja die leerde hem ook nog andere hondengeluiden, zodat we 's nachts uit bed gingen om te kijken of alles wel oke was. De hond lag heerlijk te slapen, het janken kwam onder de doek van de kooi vandaan haha.
Ook doet hij het geblaf op andere toonhoogte exact na van andere honden haha.

Hello 123iadoofus, we don't train him to do that. He picks up everything very quick, just by hearing it one or two times. At more info near this vid you can read how he learned to say silence i kill you.
You can also watch the vid Manus op dreef in wich he repeats this more clear and also funny, Manus now is 2 years old and knows more than 300 words. He likes to talk the whole day haha

Het ene woordje komt er duidelijker uit dan het andere als hij net iets nieuws zegt idd Met bepaalde woorden heeft hij in het begin iets meer moeite om het direct nadat hij het heeft gehoord duidelijk uit te spreken.

Hello, nice to know this vid now is available also in the search results of your country. Than now more people can have lol about this. Most parrots don't talk as much as Manus does. If they start talking (wich is not always sure) mostly they say maybe 5 till 20 words but not 300 or 500. Hoi prutsnut, deed Manus eerst ook toen ie nog klein was, bij dit filmpje had ie niet in de gaten dat er ergens een camera op hem gericht was.
We hadden de camera op een hoog tafeltje vlakbij de kooi gezet. En waren zelf niet in de buurt. Maar al snel ging hij wennen aan de camera. Gewoon blijven proberen hoor. En dan gaat het vast wel lukken. Veel plezier met je papegaai en bedankt voor je reactie. Groetjes Geer en Greetje

Hello Draives, maybe....we don't know or dit not pay attencion to that sound. Manus does en says so many things, sometimes we don't recognize what he is doing. But the most he says is very clear in our language. He now is 2 years old and knows about 350 words without teaching him anything. He learns very quick and after one time hearing he does exactly the same.

Hello NsyncFan26, our parrot learned to say this just in a fvieuw seconds after someone has visited us with a ringtone on his gsm off Jeff Dunham with silence i kill you. We are from Holland and the most words he speaks are dutch. It are a lott, every week he learns new words very easy because talking is his favorite thing. Most things are dutch because we are from holland and that is the language he hears the most. We don't teach him to say things. Greetings Geer and Greetje

He was very young and one time listened einstein the parrot so he rembered suddenly chimpansee oe oe oe a a a Now these days , we are a year furher, he knows more than 300 words and speaks them very clear. Every week he speaks new words, and we don't teach him, we just talk to him after he says something. Talking is his most favorite thing to do hahaha.

Paar dagen voor deze opname was er ook een andere hond bij ons, Kyra. Die roept hij er ook nog even bij in het filmpje.

Hello amber688, our grey parrot Manus is from Holland, he mostly speaks our language wich is dutch, but sometimes he also speaks a little bit english. Most people who gave comments are also from Holland. So not weird at all haha but we understand of course your comment. To read dutch is a little bit difficult if you were not born here.
