I wondered what happened to Kevin, I was afraid his Southern accent was way too strong for some when he was speaking. It doesn't bother me, I'm from Louisiana. His singing voice is very nice indeed. Good luck and good job.

Way Overproduced. Voice is touched up, digitally enhanced & buried. Song is generic. His distincitive voice only slightly recognizable during the opening lines. This would've been much better with less instrumentation, maybe Skinner and his guitar and light backup vocals. Dammit Nashville let the man's vocals fill the song with the emotion it needs, coulda saved it. Country Music is so overproduced. The genre is meant to be "life's instant replay"! Country Radio Sux! Cowardly Programmers!!

@sidney8282 This is not a "true Nashville cut".This is a cheapie at best.I would bet the entire CD didn't cost him 50 grand.He didn't have a deal,so he had to pay this mostly himself or find a backer.If it was part of his deal with winning the show, they got him a 2nd rate job.I've been in this town too long and I'll tell you that whoever produced this tune was tone deaf.Mushy sound, nothing brite and distinctive about it.As far as letting his vocal fill the song,you can't fill what aint there!

Love the video and love Kevin Skinner, I've got the CD and its the only one in the truck. 10 great original songs. Some stuff is upbeat, some is reflective and even sad, but it all is great to listen to, over and over! Thanks for PLAYING SOME SKINNER! As to the people that don't get it - think about your musical influences and if they all are from this millenium, think again!

@chrispycreme His debut CD, Long Ride, containing 10 original songs, was released on his namesake Saint Patrick's Day, March 17, 2010. His new album did not chart on the Billboard 200.

Kevin has begun a tour to promote Long Ride[[ and recently opened for George Jones in Indiana. He is set to headline Freedom Fest in Murray Kentucky on July 3, 2010 at the RSEC with Sierra Hull and Highway 111 as the opening act.
