An alliance of BLMs? We found that the minimum # of BLMs we could have was 15 I believe. Pretty sure we wiped with 14. If you have 15, it should be fine, as long as everyone casts at the same time. Be sure to have people take off any gear that might increase casting time (Loquacious earring, Rostrum Pumps).

The BLMs need to take off fast-cast gear, so the spells will go off at the same time. With that many BLMs, it's almost a given not everyone would have R Pumps or L Earrings. And the limit of 15 BLMs was determined by the fact that they tried with 14 and wiped - hard. :p
Sweet! I just finished this mission. Of course we didnt have a Manaburn pt, cause of the Shortage of BLM in our LS. But the first time I did this mission it was a lot harder. I seriously think they nerfed this fight along with a bunch of other BCNMs. Cause we only had 4 blm and the rest was asst. And wOOt! I also finished CoP the day before!
They didn't nerf this mission, but it's really not that hard without manaburning if you have a solid strat and competent people. My ls has since completed this BCNM successfully without a single BLM in alliance.
Yeah but it saved them the trouble of going to get there items and farming. Yeah i wished i was in that PT myself. that mana burn PT made it looked so simple :/

Yup, we discovered the absolute minimum was 15, I believe. We wiped with 14.
