Well, I guess nothing is wrong with it... but usually if you want to go in a competition, it is required for you to memorize all of your music. You don't see universities or other high school's who are competitive in Marching Band using music. It's all memorized. So then your more focused on your technique & setting up every set correctly instead of looking at your music...
Okay, I was impressed, until I saw that everyone was reading off of sheet music... Ugh, that's dissapointing... & your marching doesn't really even line up.
@maggiemexiface That is scott englebright, he is one of the best trumpet players ever esp with his high notes, you have really bad ears and eyes they are using Bb trumpets.
All I asked is if it was a trumpet or piccolo trumpet, don't get all offensive. I play flute/saxophone, so I'm not totally aware of brass instruments. I said it was a good solo, & they are both in Bb, that's why I asked. You don't need to insult me, all you had to do what answer the question.
@maggiemexiface Not always, piccolos are often in Ab and a regular Bb trumpet is often just referred to as a Bb trumpet, and you don't need to get all defensive I was just kidding.
I could play a double A in high school. Thats what UNT graduate directors will do for you. Also, the competition from other marching bands never hurt. Martin had some good players, i went to Carroll.
Man, this is crazy... a screaming A in high school? Wow... I wonder if he had any lessons back then... no wonder he's such an awesome player... he's got the gift... good Lord, an A in high school!
I always wonder what some of the greatest lead players sounded like in marching band :P

Good job with the trumpet solos though.
Was it an actual trumpet, or piccolo trumpet?
