I've received the megalodons a few days ago, the static problem was an easy fix... just turn mic sesn to about half and adjust the mic level for you personally, other than that there great if anyone has any questions about them pm me....

@RRapDiss I own the Razer Orcas and am getting the Megalodons soon. The Orcas have out preformed many (if not all) headsets that i have used in the past (that were for gaming) and its only for music/light gaming with the 2.0 surround etc.... just saying... So before you say waste of money try them out....

using this for a while, the maelstorm engine kinda sux, sounds so hollow~

so i stick with the 2.1 mode~ its pretty good that way~

and its really comfortable to wear for long time gaming too~

I have the Charcharcharisasasscharchissss or w/e the fuck it's called and it looks almost EXACTLY the same. its a decent headset, mic is only adjustable up and down, but not the distance between the mic and your mouth. btw the gigiantic cushions on the earpards are extremely HOT. they need to make tiny little fans in them cuz if your going to be playing for "extended" hours, you ears will be sweating for sure.

i tried this headset, and while the virtual 7.1 was decent, not very good, but reasonable, every other feature about this headset fucking sucks. the stereo sound is terrible, the little soundswitch-thingy gets overheated extremely fast and after youve played for a while you get a loud noise and have to unplug and plug in youre megalodons again. on top of that, its very very expensive.

so get the g35 instead, a lot more comfortable and better sound. the stereo is even pretty good in those.

This headset, The control pad gets overheated. The sound is not realy 7.1. The earcups you think that it will be some great sound. I just opened up and it was some little sound crap..... C´mon less on the packaging more on the product. I will recommend the G35

@BlizzardGamification Its NOT going to work for you iPhone, since its a USB headset. Personally i'd recommend the SteelSeries Siberia to use. I've used it for my iPod, and it works perfectly. Great microphone and its extremely comfortable :)

Well, these lasted me almost 2 years until the sound went completely out today. Turns out the wiring on the inside is very cheaply made that some of the wires broke off on the cable itself.

That's what you expect from a product made in China... Never again buying Chinese crap!

my megalodon have some problem with the microphone, everything is working fine only my microphone is not working. i tryed to talk in games but they cant hear anything. i press the mic level and mic sens i can hear myself talking but i cant chat with people.i try to fix this by going to control panel,sounds and setting but nothing works,microphone is the problem which cant talk.any1 knows how to fix it?

Personally, I would get a normal set of headphones for around 100$ with a clip on mic attached to the headphone's cord, or if you feel like it, modding it with a little bit of velcro on the side of one can. Not only will you have the ability to get a new mic in case it breaks without having to replace your headphones, you get superior audio quality for a heck of a lot less. Personally, I use the ATH-ad700 model of headphones, but I hear sennheiser hd555(s) are also pretty damn good.
