I have no memory of going to bed that night or of getting up the next day. I was very freaked out and called the RAAF base to find out what it was but I was brushed aside by them. Several years later I asked for a copy of my report and I was told that is classified information.

Check declassified UFO cases and NASA STS mission footage (not the tether incident) that clearly shows UFO's in space, One of which comes from deep space and goes into geosynchronous Earth orbit.

Research what satellites, Ice crystals, space junk, meteors, camera artifacts etc are likely to look like and behave and see if you can reconcile that knowledge with what you see.

Bare in mind a UFO could be an aircraft of some sort, an aircraft alien to our planet, and even more intriguing some sort of animal which we don't know about.
