  • Amazing

  • you got to go to the field, saw kids playing a game of ball and then you saw Kevin Costner. That is cool. things like that don't happen every day

  • I'm planing on doing this next spring. I'm attending Penn State and wanted to make this road trip for awhile now. Field of Dreams was the first movie me and my parents watched (rented from Blockbuster) when we came to the US in the 90s and it has a special meaning to me. Thank you for uploading this.

  • WOW!! Great video. I have always wanted to go there, and someday will. Thanks for posting.

  • why does this toolbag keep sticking his face in every shot? Narcisism anyone?

  • @boinicotti How about because I am the only one to commentate? Imagine me doing an interview and someone else holding the camera. That is what I was going for. The shot with my face in the frame at the field as an attempt to line up a picture using the still picture button that my camcorder had...Get a life bro, this is youtube, spew your hate somewhere else.

  • Like an American homecoming. Pretty neat and all because of a movie. It's not quite the same but if ever on I-40 stop to stand on the corner in Winslow Arizona. It's the thing to do.

  • @1967mustanggta I've done that as well!!!!! Haven't uploaded the video yet but I need to do that.

  • Not in a million years would I trade the experience me and my son had visiting Dyersville Iowa that day. We saw all of the things you saw. It was beautiful.

  • I did stay for the movie and it was incredible... we are some of the few people in this country that can say they watched field of dreams on a huge screen AT THE FARM.... amazing.

  • Me and my son went there that day and saw Kevin play with the kids, play in his band and then we watched the film play at the field it was filmed in. It was magical. Did you stay for the film that night?

  • Wow man awesome video! cool to see you happened ot be there when Kevin was there, I would love to visit the field of dreams one day!

  • thank you!

  • thanks for this video...I want to go there someday. I'm up in Canada but I was in southwest Indiana a few years back to visit my family's hometown and should have gone up there on the way home.

  • I was never really was a fan of baseball, but I absolutely LOVED this movie. I would like to go there myself one day.

Great video. Going in the favorites.

  • thank you!

  • yo man great video five starts i have got to get this flim did you see the natural or a leugue of there own or pride of the Yankees ?

  • this is the greatest video. i pretty much cried during most of it. my brother has been there and i'm going there in a couple weeks hopefully, if the flooding isn't too bad. crossing fingers. excellent video.

  • thank you!!

  • why did you cry?

  • Yeah, why did you cry?

  • I am the father of the boy in the wheelchair. We have searched for this video for almost two years. If you could, is there a way that I can get the original, unedited video?

BTW, excellent video of a very surreal day.

  • This movie, the music gave me goosebumps... it was almost as powerful as when James Earl Jones gave the speech.

Beautiful movie and you are one lucky SOB... i would love to go down there... maybe when i get some time off.

It sure does look like heaven.

  • "but baseball...marks the time...this field...this game... its a part of our past ray... it reminds us all that once was good... and could be again"

    that speech?

  • Man i have to say you are VERY lucky... i love that movie, I may not be a die hard fan of baseball but you have good taste in movies.

Now i am EXTREMELY jealous of you getting to go and see kevin Costner and i have to say... it was a nice touch that you added that music. heh

  • thanks man

  • Whomever made this video should think about a serious career in film making. This was an awesome film capture of a very special day. How Ironic that you showed up the exact same day Kevin Costner visited the field.

    Kudos to you!

  • thank you !

  • well done!! seeing this gives me the chills. one of the few movies that I still shed tears for. Need to make this a road trip from where I live here in St. Louis

  • it is worth the trip.. a truly magical place... "is this heaven???" "no.. its iowa.." "is there a heaven?" "oh yeah.. its the place where dreams come true" "maybe this is heaven" those lines sum up the place perfectly

  • nice video dude!

  • I still own FOD on VHS! and me & my brothers watch it every summer

    great video bud

  • ok - here's how big a sucker i am for this movie: i cried watching this youtube video. yes, i am embarrassed. there are only two movies that will make me cry EVERY time i watch them: Field Of Dreams and Shawshank Redemption. thanks for putting this up brststroka (breast stroke w/ no 'E'?).

  • i swam in college.. did the breast stroke

this movie is amazing. talk about emotional... check out the father hitting for his disabled son.. there were a ton of people crying when that happened. after Kevin's band sang we all watched Field of Dreams ON THE FIELD on a huge blow up screen. it was surreal

  • Do you have any more footage from this. I was there, too. As a matter of fact I am in your video clip. However, my video isn't that great.Could I possible buy a copy from you? I would relly appreciate it. Thanks

  • I dont have any more clips but I could send you this video

  • We went in 2003, hardly anyone there in June.

No corn either. This would have been more fun.

  • Dude...thanks so much for sharing this moment with us. Awesome.

  • it was awesome. if you havent gone you have to

  • dude what song is that when you first get to the field of dreams. The one with the piano playing

  • it is from the soundtrack... not sure what its called

  • theres way too much corn here

  • I need to go there now... Wow, dude thanks for putting up this video. It was a tour for me!

  • Really great man! I saw this film when i was about 5 and it made a huge impact on me. I think i probably based most of my life on it. I remember becoming a bit obsessed with baseball after seeing this, which is a bit of a weird thing for a 5 year old British kid to be in to. Gotta go there some day

  • never been there even tho i live like an hour and a half away.....on my list for the summer

  • you def need to go... if people come from australia just to see it you can drive an hour and a half!!!!

    :)

  • So I just visited Dyersville myself yesterday. No one was there. But it's may what can you say. I bet it took all you had not to join the group of kids running the bases with Kevin. Sweet!

  • i took a few BP swings and threw a bit but as far as running goes i left that to the kids :)

  • Fantastic Video, thanks

  • welcome!

  • great video... one of the greatest movies of all time... I am making the trip to the field this summer... I watched the movie a lot when i was going through a difficult time and it helped a lot... thanks again...

  • anytime man... its my favorite movie and contrary to popular belief the movie has NOTHING to do with baseball.

  • is this heaven?.. FUCK NO ITS IOWA!

  • hahahaha good stuff

  • Iowa is a great state.

  • dude i am frome dyersville and i did work at the field of dreams when kevin came and i do remember seeing there, sweet clip

    -Andrew

  • mate i would like to thank the guy who has made this video its great i loved the movie its my favourite movie and kev is a brilliant actor but the whole thing when he is visiting the filed that all thing is going there well its hard to expalin in words ,best video i have seen uptill now on yt

  • Cool video man, I'd like to visit there too. Adding the music from the movie was a nice touch.

  • Hey-

You didn't get my permission to use me in your video. LOL! Just kidding. I was there too that day. I heard my scream in your video before I saw me. I'm towards the end in a grey T-shirt. I'm taking pictures. I must have been right in front of you while you were filming. What an unbelievable experience that day was. Baseball is LIFE!! Take care. Twila

  • that is because it is from the movie.. haha.. how are things at the ville??

  • whaaat is up with this music.. it's like dramatic as a movie XD and i hear your folk music.. haha, nice ;]

    btw, this is Andrea ;)

  • Did you know the left field side is owned by one family and the right field side is owned by a bank, that's why there are two shops and two access roads.

  • I didnt know that until i went there.. its kind of sad... i told Kevin to buy the farm and unite it but he just laughed at me... :(
