Hey we need to see GOD BACK IN SCHOOL I BRING MY BIBLE TO EVER DAY, I'M A GOD CALLED PREACHER, I PREACH FROM THE BIBLE IN THE HELLO!!!! THAT HOW GOD SAVEDS PEOPLE GET THE WORD OUT ABOUT JESUS IS COMING SOON, IF YOU GO TO HEAVEN AND 10 OF YOUR FRIEND DONT ITS ON YOU BECOUSE YOU DID NOT TELL YOU FRIEND ABOUT JESUS
if you lived in mexico and went to school there and lets say friday was taco day and you didnt like tacos do you think that the mexican gov would stop having tacos on friday for just you when they have been having fridays taco for many years. in other words you moved to mexico and went to there schools so it would be fitting to do there customs and if you dont like it then move
@DoKtaTre actually your argument is the one with the problem... the video's message is sound. Being black, or disabled is not a choice. People choose to believe in unicorns, dragons, and gods. I do not want my tax dollars going to religious education... if you believe in fairy tales thats great, send your kids to catholic school/christian school... keep your myths out of my public school. My kids go to public school and every day they have to listen to the 'lords prayer'... complete bullshit
@AndDenDeyCalledMeTim well there is nothing saying you cant pray in school. the children can do whatever they want and if you want to teach creation and evolution you should teach alchemy instead of chemistry. school is kniowledge and science class and cannot have anything to do with religion if the school sets anything up. Science has nothing to do with religion and it should remain that way
@AndDenDeyCalledMeTim ohhh bullshit! there is nothing stopping your poor brainwashed kids from praying in public schools, they can pray 100 times a day if they wish. it just shoudn't be a school lead prayer that infringes on the rights of anyone who doesnt believe in the christian fairy tale... having school lead prayer is the exact equivilant of saying there is to be no mention of god or prayer in this school(which doenst happen) just not school led prayer, allow me my rights to pls.
@AndDenDeyCalledMeTim there is nothing stopping a child from praying... they can cloes your eyes and speak with their imaginary friend anytime they like... how could this be stopped? "Hey you... open your eyes, and stop thinking about god!" no... that is not happening. Yes they maybe be stopping public displays, or organized prayer (thankfully) but private prayer is not possible to stop... unless you kill them... and Im pretty sure that hasnt happened
well atheists why should u get wat u want! u want God out of everything! i want God in everything! u jst said that this country was founded by christians! we were here first! i understand u wanna be nice and all that but the fact is wth out God we will loose this country. wth out God theres no hope? do u have goals wat point is it just to be born and then die! whats the point u and me both no theres gotta to be sumthin more! u get wat im sayn?
@rush61ful I am atheist and I just want to say I want god out of school because not everyone in a school is Christian so it would offend some people,I have no problem with Christians but if they want god in school they should go to a Christian school. BTW You spelled Lose wrong, its lose not loose.
@furiousmike62 that and it might make the muslim kids angry :P yea there are some ummm crazy chirtians at my school including my teachers...i need to get the hell out of the country that or nuke it! :P
@rush61ful you should do some reading before you open your ignorant mouth, many of the 'founding fathers' were atheists, and almost all agreed in seperation of church and state, enough to make it the rule. keep your fucked up hateful fairy tales out of our public schools, you have a choice to put ur kids in a christian school, public school is my only option, you want ur kids to learn a bunch of bullshit, great! go to christian school, everyone else that believes in the rational... go public!
@rush61ful I feel really sad for you. I hope that someday you will find a reason to exist just for yourself. I hope you realize someday that you are important and worthy of the love of your friends and family without the existence of god. That your life is all the MORE important because there is nothing after this. The love you give to those around you is more special because it helps to make their time here better. If we have eternity, who gives a shit about the 70 years we have here?
You asked the question: "Would you as a Christian support a Muslim school?"
I answer: "Why, yes of course I would. As a CATHOLIC (not every religion in America is Christian) we have tolerances toward other religions and we would support whatever they believe in, because even though they believe in something other than Christianity or Catholicism, they're still our brothers and sisters and they need our support." I think that's a good enough answer. We need God in our schools to teach Gods words
Define true things? Just because you took 25mins to think about a subject and deemed it "bullshit" doesn't make your view the ultimate view. There will always be extremist's no matter what power structure exists its a fact. Religion has Never gotten in the way of science, the catholic church is a supporter of scientific research, and often reworks the doctrine to the new discoveries, there are the fear inspired christians which are the pimple on the face of religion.
" Love thy Neighbour", "Thou Shalt not kill", is this lies and crap? no organized religion has not lived up to it much in it history, however the message is still there and IS taught in religious schools.
They might be removed for a reason---but what about the increase in crime, profanity and such? God was in schools for a reason. People are lazy and don't want to know right and wrong, so they send them to school.
and try and not have the Canadian flag behind you when you do these types of Videos. Although you might not mean to, you actually represent Canada if you do have the flag behind you, and not all that you say is true for all Canadians.
Part of the reason God& morals are taught in schools is because a school is a place of learning. Yes you can be taught somethings at home but part of going to school is to learn from others. Furthermore The Catholic School Board is not private it is open to all beliefs and faiths. It is NO ONES PLACE to Judge what should and shouldn't be taught it is done for a reason.
Point out where in religion there are lies in crap. The part where it preaches peace and brotherhood no matter your beliefs? If you are educated you are obviously equipped with the tools to figure out what is the work of prejudice and what is the work of a man preaching PEACE. God forbid peace be taught in schools, above maths and science. There is more to the world than what you see and hear, if you cannot live with other beliefs how can you create a peaceful world.
Peace? What about Stoning disobedient children? The Crusades? The Spanish Inquisition? The bombing of the twin towers in the United States by Muslim extremists? And the lies and crap I'm talking about is when religion gets in the way of science and tries to say it is wrong... Besides this point however, why should we be taught a bunch of bullshit that will not help us at any time in our life, rather than true things? Sorry, but religion is a lie, and most rational people can see this...
you can mention the crusades and muslim extremist's but that still has nothing to do with the message of the religion itself. As I said earlier ORGANIZED religion has had a pretty bloody soaked history, but thats history we cannot change it, and to base an argument on something that happen 1000 years ago is none-sense. I wouldn't base my judgements of Islam on the extremist's that happen to belong to it as I wouldn't say all germans are nazi's.
...You said it preaches peace and brotherhood no matter your beliefs, I was saying that you were wrong... Is peace telling people they will burn in hell for an eternity because they don't believe in your god? Another reason religion should not be taught in schools is because it goes against science...And I have a problem with that. If the world was not infected with religion, I believe that science would have already progressed much further than it already has...
Religion as in the Bible, Koran and various other text's, preach brotherhood, at no point do they mention hell, but that is if you actually wish to be realistic about religion and know at some point human fallibility will com into play. No religion goes against Science. Islam in it early beginnings was the seat of all Mathematical and scientific thought, highly encouraged by the religion which was passed onto western Europe after the crusades.
Really? Religion does not go against science? Galileo said that the earth actually orbited the sun, not the other way around, and he was tried for heresy... What about evolution?
Galileo was charged by a church 500 years ago, in a society fed with fear. The Catholic church has since accepted science even forming its on scientific academy over one Hundred years ago. Evolution is accepted by all Major religions ,from what I've gathered speaking to various religious figures in the community, there are those (mostly in the united states) who resist the facts. Your argument seems to be loosely based on history from 500 yrs ago and here say about religious groups in the USA.
...I used something from 500 years ago because it shows how Science proves something, then has to fight against churches with it because it doesn't go along with the bible... By the way, what about Stem Cell research? What about the whole concept of "The earth is only 6000 years old!"??
stem cell research is pretty sketchy I have atheist friends who agree. The Modern R/C Church does not appear to resist advancement however it is the potential harm which these advancements could potentially cause(i.e. the natural way is the best way). Once again.. the 6000 year old "myth" is only supported by the break away Christian groups ,mostly located in the united states.
Who cares if the research is sketchy?! Oh wanh, the cells have to come from somewhere...If you are at all against stem cell research, or against slowing it down somewhat, then tell that to someone who has been confined to a wheelchair for the passed 20 years due to a spinal cord injury, and tell them that they do not deserve to walk again... As for "...only supported by the break away Christian groups, mostly located in the United States." I am an American, so ofc I know only what goes on here.
I would rather have research done properly with caution than have a stupid mistake happen. As for people in a wheel chair, I'm sure they'd rather know that an actual effort went into ensuring all the research was carried out properly and checked millions of times before getting to them. I never implied you didn't know about your own country. also stem cell research= cloning, not lets make people in wheel chairs walk.
Stem cell research will probably be able to cure Parkinson's, it can be used to repair spinal cord injuries that prevent a person from using lower part of their body, and it can cure diabetes...
a cure for pretty much everything then... something so valuable should not be taken lightly then eh.., should be regulated and watched closely. its easy to make something quickly but it difficult to do it correctly.
Of course not EVERYTHING, but yes, it will improve the quality of life greatly. It should not be taken lightly, but I do not think restrictions should be put on it... Aside ,of course, from aborting a baby against a mother's will for the use of stem cells, which I highly doubt would ever happen.
Thomas Jefferson was a founding father and he was an atheist. Although Eienstein wasnt a founding father, he was also and atheist and one of the most brilliant minds that ever existed. Just saying that this nation was under no means, founded on or upon "god."
you are absolutely right dhriu0. religious institutions are already there to promote religion. churches have their own sunday school. when I was in school I had to put up with a couple of teachers who told me that the bible was right and if i did not follow it, they would give me a lower grade. i reported them. fortunately I also had very good teachers who taught me about real things like science.
you have much to learn about life; any good moral that exist comes from God. God put it in us to know morals..other wise who says what is right and wrong....the government...pff...what If I said its ok to kill people and it became a law, that doesn't make it right. If you don't believe in God it won't change the facts of truth, and you can't run from God, no matter how hard you try...we will all stand before God and give an account to Him who knows all things, even your heart.
Let's leave evolution out of schools then. if you want your children to know evolution teach it themselves. if I ever go back to a public school (left after 6th grade, 9th grade now) I will talk about God if I choose to. You guys talk about evolution or other idles, I talk about God.
evolution is a scientific theory. the bible is a self-contradictory text and is propagated enough by churches. there are plenty churches to teach the bible and so they don't need to bring it into schools, where real facts go.
Theory doesn't mean true. Theory is theory. It is not self contradictory, give me the verses and I'll explain them to the best I can. There are churches and schools that teach God's word but why can't there be special schools that teach evolution then? hm?
Hey, idiot, parents' children are learning evolution. That's something a lot of people don't want their kids being taught. Do a little thinking before you express your idiocy upon the internet.
She is from Canada I am from the USA maybe things are different there. Here in the USA if you want to read the bible and pray in school it is just fine. No problem. We only say that the school staff cannot lead a prayer nor prosyletize from the bible to the students. If students want to form a Christian club and use the school facilities for their after school meetings...then again no problem. As long as it is student led and run.
Well that's a lie. Reading the Bible isn't ever allowed in classes.
Anyway, I just think its a little ridiculous how people can warp separation of church and state into this. And how some lady can complain to schools and we just do whatever she says.
I can easily see us becoming a communist nation soon.
Well your correct reading the bible in a class would be wrong. But the same would be true if the child was reading any other book that was not the subject of the class during active class time. You object to this? An example of this would be a student reading any other book in an algebra class while the class was actively engaged in learning algebra.
The bible can be taught as a course on world religons without any sort of problem. The bible can be taught as literature again without any problem. But if you want the Bible taught as the "Holy word of God" then yur correct it cannot be taught like that in a school by the teaching staff or by anyone brought into the school from outside to be taught in that manner
too bad not every teacher respects my beliefs, I had an english teacher read her bible every day in class. she would alwasy say "if yuo believe hell is a literal burning place..." and I would always have to stand up for my self and make it known that i don't believe in that shit.
it's reasons like that I want to home-school my son.
You can pray any time of day in any way in any manner. You can pray at the bus stop, in the john, or sat at a meal. That's fine. Don't expect the rest of us to pretend along with you.
Well there you go. You don't have to believe what I do. You're telling us to respect your beliefs, but you don't give a shit about ours. Stubborn hypocritical prick.
We don't "believe" in anything in the same way as you "believe" in Christianity. What we think is true is based off of actual scientific facts, not fairy tales in an extremely old book.
We don't ask you to respect our "beliefs." We expect you to respect the foundation upon which our nation was established - The Constitution.
What "facts" are these? Evolution?? Haha. There is still not a single shred of proof of evolution to date.
The big bang? So everything was inside of a dot and it blew up? Very probable! I would take intelligent design over a pure accident any day.
The foundation laid out in the Constitution, or the separation of church and state, was the idea that government would have no control over religion, NOT to completely remove it from society.
Paragraph #1 - Evolution is a theory. Theories don't need proof. They need EVIDENCE, which there is plenty of. If they were proved, they would become scientific law.
Paragraph #2 - The Big Bang theory obviously confuses you, as you know nothing about it. Instead, you substitute some invisible being who did it all instead and call it easier.
Paragraph #3 -- Separation of church and state also works vice versa; religion can't have control over the government. Removing religion from schools CERTAINLY is not removing it from society, as schools aren't agents of Christianity; the churches are.
Thanks great video! In the USA the christians are either too lazy or not capable of "SELLING" their faith to the rest of us anymore. That is why they are trying to take over the Government to Force us into their churches against our will.
Everyone is too stubborn and wrapped up in the whole Democratic/hippie/pussy movement. Also, I don't really want the government to force us to NOT be Christian. You all talk of 'tolerance', but do you tolerate Christianity? Think about it.
Sure we tolerate christianity. You can pray in school and have christian clubs and groups in school but they cannot be led by a teacher or a staff member of the school is all.

Not all taxpayers are disabled, but they all have to contribute to the xocial security fund that pays us.

It's not the lack of religious teachings we car about, it's the fact that children cant mention God or pray in school.
That seems like a withdraw of freedoms to me.

Hey, idiot, parents' children are learning evolution. That's something a lot of people don't want their kids being taught. Do a little thinking before you express your idiocy upon the internet.
Thanks!

Evolution is science. Intelligent design is religon. This has already been ruled upon in the Dover Pennsylvania case.
KasparHauser4 4 years ago 2
They're both beliefs about how everything began. Soooooooo if God is out then evolution shouldn't evolution be out also?
kobess421 4 years ago
No because evolution is science. Intelligent design is not. Nobody cares if you want to teach ID in schools just not in science classes
KasparHauser4 4 years ago
Well apparantly somebody cares. That's what this video is about haha.

KasparHauser4 4 years ago
Well that's a lie. Reading the Bible isn't ever allowed in classes.
Anyway, I just think its a little ridiculous how people can warp separation of church and state into this. And how some lady can complain to schools and we just do whatever she says.
I can easily see us becoming a communist nation soon.
kobess421 4 years ago

That's fine. Just don't try to take away my kids' rights to pray in school (when it's not disruptive) or read their Bibles on their own time.
JMcH 4 years ago 2
You can pray any time of day in any way in any manner. You can pray at the bus stop, in the john, or sat at a meal. That's fine. Don't expect the rest of us to pretend along with you.
stevebritgimp 4 years ago
Okay, I won't expect you to "pretend" anymore than I will expect you to be tolerant.
JMcH 4 years ago
tolerant of what a simple meditation that makes you feel better about yourself
kylescofield88 4 years ago
Prayer is not simple and isn't about me or my feeling better about myself.
JMcH 4 years ago
Well there you go. You don't have to believe what I do. You're telling us to respect your beliefs, but you don't give a shit about ours. Stubborn hypocritical prick.
kobess421 4 years ago
We don't "believe" in anything in the same way as you "believe" in Christianity. What we think is true is based off of actual scientific facts, not fairy tales in an extremely old book.
We don't ask you to respect our "beliefs." We expect you to respect the foundation upon which our nation was established - The Constitution.
KradenEPC 4 years ago 2
What "facts" are these? Evolution?? Haha. There is still not a single shred of proof of evolution to date.
The big bang? So everything was inside of a dot and it blew up? Very probable! I would take intelligent design over a pure accident any day.
The foundation laid out in the Constitution, or the separation of church and state, was the idea that government would have no control over religion, NOT to completely remove it from society.
kobess421 4 years ago
Paragraph #1 - Evolution is a theory. Theories don't need proof. They need EVIDENCE, which there is plenty of. If they were proved, they would become scientific law.
Paragraph #2 - The Big Bang theory obviously confuses you, as you know nothing about it. Instead, you substitute some invisible being who did it all instead and call it easier.
KradenEPC 4 years ago
Paragraph #3 -- Separation of church and state also works vice versa; religion can't have control over the government. Removing religion from schools CERTAINLY is not removing it from society, as schools aren't agents of Christianity; the churches are.

Good points. keep up the good work.

Thanks great video! In the USA the christians are either too lazy or not capable of "SELLING" their faith to the rest of us anymore. That is why they are trying to take over the Government to Force us into their churches against our will.
KasparHauser4 5 years ago
Everyone is too stubborn and wrapped up in the whole Democratic/hippie/pussy movement. Also, I don't really want the government to force us to NOT be Christian. You all talk of 'tolerance', but do you tolerate Christianity? Think about it.
kobess421 4 years ago
Sure we tolerate christianity. You can pray in school and have christian clubs and groups in school but they cannot be led by a teacher or a staff member of the school is all.
