  • I really love this song i was Baptist at Easter this song means so much to me ..

  • Very nice. I love this hymn. : )

  • Wow, what a great performance of a most beautiful hymn! =)

  • Thanks, brother.

Where'd that extra verse come from?

  • I took all of the verses straight out of the hymnals at church. The books are about 60 years old I think.

  • Hymn #210, 1986, Word Music I should have followed along

I meanr Verse 3 and you're right. There it was.

  • love this song! nice job!

  • i like it man, if you can sing baritone you should do that. But hey that's just my preference. Your pretty amazing no lie :)

  • thakk you for you song god bless you love your brother in christ

  • In my opinion, the greatest Christian hymns ever written are this one, Blessed Assurance, Amazing Grace, and Jesus Loves Me.

  • Thank you for letting me share in your worship from your heart. I join with you this day in bringing praise to our King! May the Lord richly bless you and yours in this new year. By the way, you look like me.

    Yours in Christ,

    Joe

  • WOW!

Great piano work and a strong, clear voice.

    Very nice indeed.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful song with the world.

Just imagine, someone from Russia, or China or the North Pole might be able to connect to Utube and see your video. The bible tells us the gospel must go out to all the world before Jesus can come and take us with Him. Can it be that we are approaching that day? I certainly hope so. I grow weary of all the heartache this world has to offer. Jesus please come soon.

  • that's really good not bad at all Rate:5/5

  • One of the greatest, if not the greatest, hymns of all time. Elvina Hall was moved by the Spirit of the Savior when she wrote these

    awesome verses!

  • you should SHOW your hands...Oops

  • you should shame your hands when you play it. That would be awesome

  • That was AMAZING! I LOVE this song so much, Jesus did pay it all!

  • Bravo. Beuatifully sung. Thank you

  • Wonderful. This is one of my favorites and it was played and sung well here. Great job!

  • this guys good, love this old song and the new version

  • Incredibly well sung - thanks.

  • We sing this in chapel with the band we have.

This hymn I love so much. HE DIED FOR ALL OF YOU.

  • One ofthe greatest hymns ever written... and such a great text. I appreciate the intensity in your singing. Please try to watch the pitch particularly on the lower to middle area of your range. You have a beautiful voice -- if you could find a good vocal coach, it might help you considerably. God bless you!

  • I get chill bumps every time I hear/sing this song.

  • One of the most beautiful hymns I've ever heard...

  • How wonderful to see a brother in Christ sing and play this wonderful old song. Thank you

  • Thankyou...

  • Praise His Name! Yes Jesus! The King!

  • Great to hear the old Gospel in song. This is the only

message that can change the sinner's heart. God bless the anointing on the singer.

  • Thanks for a lovely song

  • Easily the best video ever, this hymn is amazing. I still think you should do The Love of God :-)

  • We deserved no compasion, all we departed from Him, nevertheless He paied our debt. This (true faith) is something we can only understand by the work of the Holy Spirit in our heart. Thanks for th hymn.

  • Jesus Christ! He's the real king!

  • If Jesus paid it all, why are we here?

  • That's an excellent question. His first followers asked Him, after His resurrection, if He was going to restore the Kingdom of Israel. He said not even to be concerned with that, but that they would receive power from the Holy Spirit to be His witnesses to the world. So that's why we're here - to tell His good news. Turn to Him in faith! He loves you and will save you ATOM09. God bless you.

  • Save me? From what?

  • Save you from eternal separation from God. You are a soul that is guilty of sinning against the most Holy being in the entire universe (as are we all). Guess what, the punishment matches the crime. Be saved from the punishment by allowing Jesus to take your place...He's your substitute. If you chose to reject the substitute, you get pay the consequence yourself...for eternity. God is JUST, he CANNOT allow sin to go unpunished.

  • Yes, what skalapunk said. Also read the comments I wrote over in the box to the right of the video - you may have to click "(more)" to read them all. He does love you so, ATOM09. I'm not flaming here at all... Please open your heart to Him, He will make you His own child if you will repent and trust in Him. God bless you.

  • Oh, I don't doubt that. I just wanted to know what I was being saved from because if the religion doesn't sanctify me in my holy effort of fighting for freedom and liberation then god damn religion. I don't want to be a holy slave, I wanna be a holy free man.

  • You wanna be free?

John8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Continue in His Word, walk in the spirit, submit your life to Christ. This is the hope of freedom we have as human beings. If the word "submit" sounds like bondage, just consider that as of right now, you ARE a slave to sin, and don't even know it.

  • A slave is one whose power and authority is ruled over by another and whose sphere of freedom is limited according to the wishes of his master. Freedom is earned, never given. No one can proclaim men/women free.

  • My reply didn't come through, not sure why. This is a test.

  • In this case the Master wants you to deny sin, because IT IS THE VERY THING THAT KILLS YOU. Freedom doesn't cause death. If we live our lives fulfilling our fleshly lusts and desires, it's only a false and temporary euphoria, and it will lead to an eternal death as well as the physical death we all must experience.

Ultimate Freedom is never experiencing the eternal death - NOT living "free and how our flesh desires" for the mere 80 years on earth.

  • You must realize that HE is the potter, and we are the clay. There's nothing we can do about it. He didn't even ask you if you wanted to exist, he did it and you can't do a thing about it. The moment you were conceived in the womb, you started to live, for ETERNITY. Where will you live?

  • "no man can serve two masters:for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon" Jesus Christ Matthew 6:24

  • I thank you so much for posting this song online. This song was used at my best friend Daniel's Baptism last year. God bless

  • If Hitler were to truly repent after his atrocities, would he be forgiven? After all, Jesus dies for his sins as well...

  • Hard question for such a small space! The Bible makes it clear that the Lord saved some pretty rough characters (see 1 Corinthians 6:9-11), including even a thief on a cross next to His own. So in the strictest sense I would have to conlude yes, God's grace CAN extend to even the vilest of sinners. The power of the death of His Son is that strong. HOWEVER...

  • ...Hitler? My, atrocities that extreme? Your hypothetical goes right for the top (or bottom really), that's for sure. John the Baptist told the Pharisees to "bring forth fruits worthy of repentance". God is sovereign and sure knows more than I, and of course I defer to Him, but you'd be hard pressed to convince me that repentance could occur in that hard-hearted monster. But I'm not God. I didn't sacrifice my Son.

  • Let me just add two things: First, thanks for the question. It is a challenging one that goes right to the heart of the matter - how deep is God's grace? Second, please don't let a discussion of a hypothetical question distract you from the real issue - God's great love for YOU in Jesus Christ His Son! Thanks again, and God bless you.

  • The straight answer to your question is yes, if Hitler had every truly repented, he would be forgiven. God is not powerless to save even the most vile of human crimes, since in comparison, God's weakness(which doesn't exist) is STILL stronger than men's strength.

However, repentance is a turnaround...a turning away from sin...living a life that bears the fruits of the spirit. The bible says if you live a life that bear the fruits and walk in the spirit, you can be assured of your salvation.

  • Because without the works and labor of love, you have no evidence of your salvation. Remember that good works DOES NOT save you, but they only provide the evidence that God has changed your life and dragged you out of sin's deathly clutch.

Without the evidence, you can't confidently make claim on your salvation. Did Hitler have this evidence? Most everyone would say nope...

  • amen brother!
