I'm crazy about these guys. I do miss Tony hes was the "real Country flavored "vocalist. Brian put the "Twang " in the music. Its seems like the "good stuff" doesn't stay around long. I love Honky Tonk music .Some of the "ballada" are ok too.
Saw them at Blancos last nite for the first time. Great music and dancing . Never had so much fun Had a piano with them and he was good. Two stepin and swing dancing are hard to beat.
It sucks Tony left the Derailers, because they're not as good without him. However, the Derailers should follow the examples set forth by the Eagles and The Manhattan Transfer, which means that each member should get to sing lead on at least one song, instead of Alabama and Diamond Rio, which had one primary singer, Randy Owen and Marty Roe, respectively. The Derailers need to set their own examples, and bring country music back into popularity. QUIT SQUABBLING TONY AND BRIAN!
This is how it used to sound when I started llistening to it in the late 70s, but unfortunately it changed. That's when I started listening to it less and less. If you have a rock station you would play classic rock, but country stations can't figure that out. There's no reason more young people don't know who Waylon, Willie, George Jones etc.
That steel guitar get's me every time. Add some twin texas fiddles and a honky tonk piano and you got some good times.

I like how they say "mind," a la Conway Twitty. A great tribute to an unforgettable legend. Whatever happened to these guys?
