Richard you could not be further from the truth! Benton Harbor like any other area is full of sinners. I have ministered to drug addicts, prostitutes, gang bangers, alcoholics etc. Are these not sinners in need of repentance to be able to spend eternity with Jesus? Many of the people there that I have talked to have the "poor black me" mentality which is a lie from the pits of hell! People there like anywhere else need to get off their butt and stand up to make a difference for Jesus!!

Spurgeon thinks he is, but the impoverished citizens of Benton Harbor aren't "sinners," they're just poor. And truth be told, all of them aren't poor! But to try and make "sin" synonymous with "poor" is just horrifically classist and elitist.
