Go Thomas, now you know what it's like in real life. I think once we get really immersed in FPV then we could have just as much fun.. Hopefully without the throwing up bit ;) awesome vid!
@CorbyStarletCj1 Yes he was, he actually threw up today! I think he has a stomach bug. which explains why the thermalling didn't do him much good. Mind you he can't wait to do it again. He really loved it
@kidovate Often in Gliders when we have light and small passengers, we use a parachute to increase the weight of the individual and they sit better in the aircraft harness too when they are wearing a chute.
@BMSWEB G'day... Yay Team ! Go Gliding, and learn to Fly The Wing.... Then, later, if you ever convert to Powered Flight, when the Noisy Smell fails ; then you'll revert to flying the Wing... Search 'Canada John Skycraft Scout' to see where Powered Ab- Initio too often leads... And, FORGET the lure of Air Farce Levitation. To do that, you have to agree to shoot at Strangers, on the advice of a Politician you may not vote for. On a 2-way Firing Range. Nuts !
Awesome Thomas, I bet you just loved that experience of real flight, I remember the First time I went up in one at the Laverton RAAF Base Airfield , I was just slightly older than you at that time,
But it was awesome, we used to help out with the Winch Cable Tows, and in return got the occasional flight.
i thought the kid was flying t someone infront of him...

Great flying in the ASK-21, Was Thomas sick in the end, he showed all the signs of someone very uncomfortable with the flight and thermalling ?

@CorbyStarletCj1 Ah, and it's also a safety device in case they need to bail. I wonder if he could have managed it :D

Nice. My first glider flight was at Benalla, around 1970, in an old Kookaburra.

@JollySwagman2006 So do the RAAF use Gliders for training?
BMSWEB 1 month ago
@BMSWEB That RAAF base is virtually closed down nowadays, not much there now,
But back in the 70's on the weekends they had a Glider Flying Club
