I have colognes that have kept for 6-7 years they still smell the same as when I bought them.. I think as long as they're stored out of direct sunlight they should last years if not decades..
First, I stored my colognes at my desk, next to the window, and I had my 1million there too. Now I store the 1 million in a box and in the sock drawer, and my other colognes in my sealed closeth.
If you wanna take it to the next level, just build a small winery-like cave in your basement where the temerature and humidity stays at a consistent 60 degree F. Besides the damaging UV light, temp and humidity can an an effect on your cologne life! :)
I store all my 70 bottle in 7 seperate boxes in my closet. I try and keep the temperature between 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit. Its also super dark im hoping I'm doing the right thing!
@aidenryu that sounds perfect IMHO. Especially if you can do that for 70 bottles in boxes, I commend you. Great job hahaha. Maybe I just need some more bigger boxes. Most of the boxes around my house are tiny.... kinda like a baby.... hahaha
@959lover lol, I suggest you go down to your local post office and get the priority boxes. They're free, come in all different sizes, and you can get as many as you need! They don't know youre keepin em! That's what i did!
@959 LMAO we have refridgerators to store our food why not do the same to our cologne and take care of it! lol...true true true but funny the way you said it lol
Yeah, it has a door. but its kept closed. my room is actually the coldest room because i keep my door shut all the time. so i hope that helps too lol. just want to make my fragrances last.
I keep mine on a Desk clear of sunlight. Although, I know perfumers keep their fragrances in refrigerators (a la Frederick Malle) to work on them from day to day. Although, I think as long as you keep them in a relatively regulated environment, you'll be fine. In general, fragrances react poorly to heat but hold better in cooler temperatures.
At the start, I use to put it in my boxes, nowadays, i cant be bothered as Ive got school, so my main bottle is just on my shelf sizzling in the sun, but ready to be sprayed haha. Ohh well. Btw keep up the vids!

I have mine on a shelf in my closet, there's a window but it's got sheers over it so not too much sun comes in there.

Askan, you just answered your own question/concern bro! Why not store all your cologne bottles in your fridge? :D
haha.. j/k, don't do that! I store all my 40+ bottles in a dry & cool shelf, which is placed in a dark place away from direct sunlight.

I keep my colognes in a drawer in my room in their boxes. i.e. the basement.
Greenage3348 1 year ago
Nice, that's a great idea. Maybe the ones I want to keep in rotation should put in my drawers.

I guess the only real way to know if my juice will be safe is if I put a thermometer in the box and see, huh?

Good video man. I keep my colognes on a shelf similar to the one you pointed out behind you, away from sunlight.

Nice. Yeah, I loved my setup back then. Visible, but at the same time in their boxes so preserved. None of my colognes last summer went bad.
