American's build their homes out of 2x4's and plaster board, and then wonder why they all blow the fuck down when there is a bit of wind. And then....then they do it again.
Use some fucking bricks and breeze and you'll be all set.
LOL I used a small nail to find the studs in my wall. Now I have over forty holes behind my television. I also layed my plasma tv face down to mount the brackets and cracked the screen. uh, I brought that goofy power conditioner and the tv sticks out to the left. Also, Im sure you didnt plug anything in afterwards. Im kidding of course because I thought you we are. Good one, you almost had me.
How do you hang the receiver,I've seen it where you have the dvr/receiver strapped on the back. I want to tuck it in the back of the LCD mounting bracket?
Installing a recessed outlet like the power bridge might be better since you can put the surge protector / power conditioner next to an outlet near the floor. Some of the TV mounts have minimal clearance to be fitting a huge surge / power conditioner like that behind the TV.
hey im mounting a 46" lcd on a concrete wall. is there anything i should look for when mounting my lcd. is there any other stregth related attachments i can purchase other then anchors??
That was just awful. I do professional installations. Where's all of the equipment he's plugging stuff into? Did he really lay a Plasma tv face down? Never do that, the weight of it's own glass will implode (Shatter!) The gigantic surge behind the tv will just mean the tv has to stick out further and really....Really? Round in wall speakers????? Don't have this guy do your work people!!!
uh... hey guy? you surge protector is defeating its purpose by hanging that far off the outlet. You will prob cause a surge by closing a door or a gust when you open a window. Clean power is good idea, but thats something like "ugly clean power" uh thanks for your vid though
hey dummy.....the 2x4 is in fact 1.5 inches (not 2 inches). it's called a 2 by 4 by in reality, it is 1.5 inches by 3.5. go check it out at your closest home depot and do a bit of research before criticizing someone else...ok numbnuts?
That "beefy bolt" he called it went through the front LENS >_<

Mounting is the easy part, I was curious about the drilling and running wires. He skipped right over that part, lol.

To the average consumer this may seem acceptable, but to a experienced installer this is very sloppy.

For any one doing this with a PLASMA screen, do NOT at any time lay the screen flat.

You are supposed to cut in the boxes below the bracket, not above.

2x4s are not actually 2x4. That's before they are trimmed at the lumber yard.
