They showed a tape of BO's at my son's school yesterday. When he walked up to the podium they booed so much that she had to yell to get them to stop. He said that she looked like she was going to cry. Good! Stinking liberals trying to brainwash our kids.

He told me that they booed him last year too but this year it was just about everyone. I wish that someone had pulled out their phone and taped it. He is a lying poser.

I can personally say that the students should be allowed to watch it. Im on the newspaper staff at my high school and we were required to watch it for one of our news articles. The whole grade thing, i believe was george bush's fault with his no child left behind program. When i lived in texas i was affected by it and fell behind in school. doesn't mean im stupid, i was just taught at a slower pace because of the dumbass himself. Im 14 and if i could have voted, I would'nt have voted for Obama, but that doesn't mean I won't at least give him a chance. Quit hating him just because you didn't vote for him, and those of you saying it's wrong that parents won't let their kids watch the speech, that's their business so stay out of it. If they don't want their kids watching it, then their kids don't have to watch it.

I hope some of the kids that go to Wakefield High School read this comment in particular. Clips of students were shown throughout Obama's speech and I noticed kids were text messaging, sleeping, and just not paying attention. You may not like Obama as our president, but it's what The People wanted back in November. You kids need to learn to show some respect, whether it be your parent, teacher, or the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. It is really the least you could do.

I find it ridiculous that parents actually were making a big fuss about their kids seeing this speech, because he's a "political airhead" ive heard people say. Thats ridiculous. If anything i think the parents were stupid to not let their kid watch. It was inspirational, and positive. He connected with teens home lives for god sake. For america's test scores being as bad as they are you think theyd want them to watch the speech so they actually try to graduate and get a good job.

How is obama like hitler? Obama is educated, and has plans. GOOD plans for the US. Hitler was a bad person, and he just wanted to kill people and control things. Yeah, america's test scores? What do test scores mean? That America's kids are stupid or unproperly educated? No, it means that they are unmotivated.

People have made so many BS programs trying to give kids self esteem. They should not just be telling kids to have self esteem about themselves, they need to tell them why to have it!

On another note, there is a disturbing percentage of teachers who plain shouldn't be teaching because they suck at it. They can't teach. Simple, get rid of them...

Truly inspiring. I am 23 and I was still inspired, I can't imagine how students that actually payed attention to the speech feel. Knowing they are still very young and have a whole life ahead of them full of chances, if they are willing to work for them.
