I guess since there probably won't be a season this year people will be stuck looking back at past greatness. If you are interested in seeing a 2.5 year old make an amazing basket with a football check out my channel.
It's been so dissapointing to see both sides argue about 2-5% of income. The fans make this all happen, the fans ARE the profit of EVERY single franchise, and yet it's all about their money again. In their favor. Greed will destroy us all.
Good times at Golden State. They were freaking awesome :) And imagine having Mullin, Hardaway, Sprewell and Webber. If they were only given few yrs to play together. Aghrr. Also: "Did you ever practice defence?" "We actually did" LOL
rubbish team,a team with no championship, and like to play run and gun offence which is a strategy can only be used for young and fast player, not experience and skillful player. i wonder why the GSW has so many stupid crazy fans at Oakland arena, watching their team losing.
@mojackomojacko He was traded for 1991 first round pick Billy Owens, who at the time was seen as a transcendent talent. Size and strength of a power player, skill and speed of a guard. He was supposed to be able to do everything but he didn't have the motivation and killer instinct to be more than a role player.
@CamNick23 why? the players are at fault here. If you blame stern then you are also blaming him trying to keep several nba franchises afloat and thousands of workers.
@CamNick23 then what the hell do they want huh? because Steve Nash speaks for all the players. The owners are trying to run a business and keep thousands of jobs afloat while having players demandridiculous amounts of money a year, and now are asking for me. So now, you can either have the players get what they want and have no arena vendors, workers, merchandise, costing thousands of people like you their jobs. Or have the players lower it by a little and have those thousands keep their jobs.
@NorCalibrator Players have offered to come down by over 4% of BRI, Stern projects 4% yearly growth in BRI. If they strike a deal today on those basic terms, that's about $320 million a year extra going in ownerships favor without even asking the biggest markets to give a pound of flesh in a revenue sharing program.
The greatest trio of all time, is not the Big 3 in Miami, or in LA, or in CHI with Jordan. It is Pierce, Garnett, and Allen! 3 Future hall of famers. ( now big 4 with Rondo) ahah
First of all the lock is cause by David Stern and he and his owners are being greed point blank period. Players are accepting lower money already so please with that blame the players not stern crap.
@TheDamdavis How are the owners being greedy when they are the ones who offered a 50/50, that the PLAYERS SHOT DOWN? Owners need a way to keep some of the teams because teams like the Pacers, the Pistons, the Bucks are dropping like rocks. Pistons and Bucks are overpaying to hell, sure, but when the Pacers, a playoff team that doesn't even pay Danny Granger much is about to tank, something needs to be done to help.
@thatonedude675 What do you know how much money Nba players will lose from going from 57 to 50? If 57 was too much why agree on it with the old CBA, Idk you but by your response I can tell that you are the type of person who is like Nba players make too much money blah blah, well guess what they have families and don't want to be taken advantaged of and The salary your job or your parents job are taking advantage of. this would help stop giving bum's like Joe johnson 100's of millions of dollars
@TheDamdavis Joe Johnson isn't a bum, I'll start with that. And NBA players make more money than any other professional athlete, so I don't think their families will get ruined by taking half a million off (sounds like a lot till you look at how much these guys make)
@thatonedude675 not all players earn that much. the rookies, the young players. they have a salary cap based on the number of years they have been in the league. and of cos, we have the bench warmers. they still earn more than most people do, but still, half a mil can be quite a lot to them.
STOP BEING GREEDY PLAYERS, THERE ARE A BILLION PEOPLE IN THE WORLD LIVING ON A DOLLAR A DAY, WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT MONEY, IF ITS BASKETBALL IS WHAT YOU LOVE THEN FUCKING PLAY IT ALREADY! LETS GOOOO!
A deal will not get done. The owners and players are both greedy fucks and their all fucking money hungry cunts. I guess they ABSOLUTELY need that extra one million to feed their families. SMH...
@gavincorrea Not really. I mean I think they kinda did overpay him a bit but at the level he was playing he was a high level player. it was just unfortunate that he got injuries and sometimes that happens.
blame the retarded owners for hiring retarded managers that would overpay crap like rashard lewis, gilbert areans, joe johnson and others. how is it the player's fault. all they did was accept an offer from one of these dumb managers
@WatchY0urSix how would you like to run a business that only loses money because your players suck but demand the same amount of money as LeBron and Kobe... it doesn't make sense to pay players what they aren't worth, the players have no investment to lose and can only collect money even if they don't play...the players need to stop being greedy and accept a couple 100k less. It doesn't make sense that 80% of teams are losing money..you wanna watch an NBA with 10 teams or less in it??
@filfortugno Its not the players fault. If a player is not worth the money why give him the contract in the first place. The owners are just dumb enough to keep giving it to them...
@xCH0SEN1x And no player likes to lose money too. Do you realize that this was all instigated by the owners? The players are being asked to take less money and for future players to take a hard cap on their salary to act as insurance for owners not to overspend on players. It is a lockout, not a strike, launched by the owners.
@impaKt Players have no money to lose? These players are living paycheck to paycheck. Most of them are not discipline spending their money in a wild manner. Impregnating women and paying ridiculous amount of child support is one of the ways they lose money so fast. At the end of the day, owners can live another day without a season. Players on the other hand cannnot.
@xCH0SEN1x Yeah well that's the players' dumb mistakes. If they're too stupid to manage their money or wear a condom, than maybe their dumbasses deserve to be homeless.
@xCH0SEN1x And its the owners fault that the players are wild and irresponsible? Either way they're making hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars and those paychecks are pretty large every week or two so it's something a lot of people can live off of. If they have a problem with spending they need to change their habits, not hold out for money and deprive the fans of a great sport because of their selfish needs.
@DCashBX I never said it was the owners fault. It's on the players. Owners can continue to live their life. Players are gonna go broke. Get the 50/50 before the players lose more paychecks. Besides, the players that are complaining about money aren't NBA stars we love to watch. It's the Leon Powe, Derrick Fisher, Kevin Ollie, Keyon Dooling. Mediocre players are being GREEDY. I'll gladly take their roster spots and accept the 50/50.
@xCH0SEN1x You have misread me and misconstrued what I've said. I said no player likes to lose money too. How the hell was it possible for you to read it as "players have no money to lose"?
@xCH0SEN1x And at the end of the day it is the players fault. Maybe if they learned to live below their means with the millions of dollars they are given they wouldn't be whining.
@NorCalibrator Eh, it's the owners who are whining and saying the system is broke. None of the players are crying broke (yet). It's a system issue. If you really believe that 22 teams lost money then cutting a couple hundred million from the players portion of BRI isn't going to do much to solve a the problems of a business that generates 4 billion dollars of revenue a year and somehow can't turn a profit for their franchises.
@aze606 im not saying that its the players fault only its also the owners fault aswell, but the BRI of 53%:47% instead of 50:50, its only 3% now come on that just greedy
@ash6009 Yeah, I agree. Its the players fault because they're way too greedy. I mean there are some guys in the NBA that are not playing their absolute best at all, but are still being paid a gazillion dollars. Its a shame too because none of the players aren't even considering the fans, they just want their paycheck.
@DeFromPrattville2013 why are they greedy i mean they do all of the work and they are the face of the business plus they are taking pay cuts. accepting a hard cap or soft cap and releasing bird right sounds like the players are getting fucked to me
@marioluvian The players do all the work? I would agree that from a customer perspective that appears so, but they are justified in the $ they make because of all the business minds who put together the TV Rights, the websites, the radio, the arenas, the merch. They're not the only ones driving the bottom line. Now that we have players going all over the world lets see how that impacts other leagues from a bottom line perspective.
@gavincorrea yep agree with you there its about a equal partnership but the players are out there risking injury flying to all these different places and working really hard so what I am saying is that the players aren't being greedy its just business shit either both sides are greedy or both sides are just getting business done
@marioluvian If its an equal partnership (which I would argue its not but whatever) then why do the players want a greater portion of revenues! Thats insane...it means the owner's take all the risk, but the players get a higher portion of the revenues. As far as risking injury goes - basketball is not a high impact sport like football, rugby, racing etc...they are more than compensated for it relative to someone who goes through greater risk in their careers.
@gavincorrea well none the less injury is being risked plus in compared to how many players to owners their are asking for 3 more percent is hardly crazy greedy plus what the players want is 53% after bri is about 50% the owners were wanting 50% after bri would be around 47 % which i say is unfair. plus there wouldnt be a lockout if there weren't great belief in both sides both logically and emotionally its not just a bunch of stupid greedy players ,they just want whats fair
@kobeballer seeing as your name is kobeballer I am assuming you worship kobe and think he can do no wrong. Well in this case the players are at fault.
@ash6009 How's it the players fault? The owners clearly proposed a method the players are unhappy with and they have rights to not conform to that method
@GLegend360 What is wrong with a 50/50 split? It's the owners who are risking their money by signing players and by investing in teams/arenas. And its not a little amount - its a lot...
Basketball players make so much money relative to other sports - and I'm not talking about the Lebrons/Kobes who imo are justified for the $ they make, but more so for a mid-level guy where you need to offer them 6M just to stay competitive. Thats insane.
where's the full video??????

Whatever your feelings are on the lockout, watch this if you have NBATV. I don't, and I'm not even a Warriors fan, but these guys were awesome.

shank1323 4 months ago
@ash6009 Yeah, I agree. Its the players fault because they're way too greedy. I mean there are some guys in the NBA that are not playing their absolute best at all, but are still being paid a gazillion dollars. Its a shame too because none of the players aren't even considering the fans, they just want their paycheck.
DeFromPrattville2013 4 months ago
@DeFromPrattville2013 why are they greedy i mean they do all of the work and they are the face of the business plus they are taking pay cuts. accepting a hard cap or soft cap and releasing bird right sounds like the players are getting fucked to me
marioluvian 4 months ago
@marioluvian The players do all the work? I would agree that from a customer perspective that appears so, but they are justified in the $ they make because of all the business minds who put together the TV Rights, the websites, the radio, the arenas, the merch. They're not the only ones driving the bottom line. Now that we have players going all over the world lets see how that impacts other leagues from a bottom line perspective.
gavincorrea 4 months ago
@gavincorrea yep agree with you there its about a equal partnership but the players are out there risking injury flying to all these different places and working really hard so what I am saying is that the players aren't being greedy its just business shit either both sides are greedy or both sides are just getting business done
marioluvian 4 months ago
@marioluvian If its an equal partnership (which I would argue its not but whatever) then why do the players want a greater portion of revenues! Thats insane...it means the owner's take all the risk, but the players get a higher portion of the revenues. As far as risking injury goes - basketball is not a high impact sport like football, rugby, racing etc...they are more than compensated for it relative to someone who goes through greater risk in their careers.
gavincorrea 4 months ago
@gavincorrea well none the less injury is being risked plus in compared to how many players to owners their are asking for 3 more percent is hardly crazy greedy plus what the players want is 53% after bri is about 50% the owners were wanting 50% after bri would be around 47 % which i say is unfair. plus there wouldnt be a lockout if there weren't great belief in both sides both logically and emotionally its not just a bunch of stupid greedy players ,they just want whats fair

@ash6009 blame stern, not the players!
kobeballer 4 months ago 3
@kobeballer seeing as your name is kobeballer I am assuming you worship kobe and think he can do no wrong. Well in this case the players are at fault.
NorCalibrator 4 months ago
@ash6009 How's it the players fault? The owners clearly proposed a method the players are unhappy with and they have rights to not conform to that method
GLegend360 4 months ago
@GLegend360 What is wrong with a 50/50 split? It's the owners who are risking their money by signing players and by investing in teams/arenas. And its not a little amount - its a lot...
Basketball players make so much money relative to other sports - and I'm not talking about the Lebrons/Kobes who imo are justified for the $ they make, but more so for a mid-level guy where you need to offer them 6M just to stay competitive. Thats insane.
