@TrunxX6 You're a good producer. I have a question: how do I play the fantom sounds while recording on the mashine itself. Because the way its working for me is the other way around my fantom playing the mashine sounds but I want to be able to record the fantom sounds onto the mashine instead.
@musicorey Hey thanks for the comment homie, yea maschine software is only sample based recording. The only way to get audio from your fantom into the maschine is through sample mode in maschine. Right now the way you got it setup is that the fantom is triggering the samples in maschine via midi notes. To get audio in from the fantom to the maschine you have to use the sample mode in maschine through an audio interface like an mbox. hope that helps homie.
@musicorey also in my vid im using maschine as a plug in inside ableton live. I tracked my fantom in ableton live on an audio track and then did the drums on a midi track with maschine. forgot to mention that
@drakeishfyre thanks homie, yep Audio Technica M50 stereo monitor headphones. there very good to hear the stereo image when mixing, but i like the Sennheisser headphones better.
I've been using em myself. They definitely have great stereo imaging (sometimes too much for my liking when listening to music, I dislike having greater volume in one ear than an other) but I find the mids kinda muddy. What sennheisser's have you been using?
@ElephantShoeToo thanks homie, there's really no right or wrong way to do music. its all preference, but i would start out with a good PC or Mac, sound card, a good recording app (Live, Logic or Pro Tools) and any type of music software. I use mostly Native Instruments. They have a great sound for all genre.
@ElephantShoeToo firewire is becoming the standard. I use an apogee duet. has great converters, but presonus is also a good brand that can produce a good sound at a reasonable price. but really any soundcard audio interface will get you started.

@TrunxX6 I should look for a sound card that has a firewire port on it right?
