  • I just read everyones comments... Not cool!.!

Yes everyone starts in basic sometime. There's a mix in this platoon army navy air. Canada trains tri force in basic. Most of my staff was navy. Our warrant was ex air born our sgt was air 3 sec commander was artillery and the rest our PO our master seaman but a great bunch of guys

  • It's good to see me on you tube lmfao can't believe it.. It's good to see them again mail649 r0017E year 2007

  • im a US soldier and I just want to give a big us army HOAH! to our fighting brother up north, god bless guys!

  • ???? When did the CF start that isn't that an American tradition? Never sang in the Reserves when we did PT, cool that the US does it but we need to keep our military traditions and they there's.

  • When I was first introduced to the Canadian Military in 1988 in Army Cadets, we always sang while we marched and during PT. When I was in basic training on this platoon in St-Jean, Nov 2006-March 2007, our platoon 2IC ordered us to come up with our own platoon song. Every platoon at that time had their own song. It was a big moral booster. However, no profanity was allowed because of the political correctness of today’s forces. Lets just say that wasn't the case prior to the 90's.

  • @fusionhitman HOO EH ! yuo mean ;)

Canadian Forces = Don't fuck with them..

  • So then the Canadian Forces Recruiter said if I liked camping,

    Guess what I said?

  • @fusionhitman its allright! but remember i am not descriminating your troops, you guys help bring peace all over the world (probably without your support america would of lost even more men in the war of afghanistan), it's just that canadians dont really make good killers, ( and im not saying its a good thing to kill, so techically you guys are doing a good thing). But sadly, killing in war is neccessasy to win it.

  • @Narciso3322 You volunteer for the Infantry...You're a killer bud it doesn't matter what flag your flying. In every society there's pussies amd there's warriors all countries have their warriors and to say a certain people dpnt make good killers is faulty. Check your facts or better yet come by my old unit I'll introduce you to some real Canadian warriors

  • @fusionhitman no im sure they kick ass... but i just dont see them as fighters sorry...

  • @fusionhitman you make me laugh. no offence tho.. Canadians arent that much of fighters

  • @Narciso3322 The Canadian Forces has been in Somalia, Bosnia, WW1 & WW2, Korea, War of 1812, Kandahar Afghanistan since the beginning of the A-Stan war, and so on. Barely any of these wars were peacekeeping ops, and Canada hasn't had a peacekeeping title in A-Stan. The average Canadian Army G.I trains longer & a bit harder than the U.S Marines (Do some research), if invading countries (illegally) will make us look "tough", I'd rather not have us be "fighters" if that's what you mean.

  • @TheBigDead0ne No such thing as a Canadian GI -> Government issue is an American term/slang.

  • @NovaScotiaNewfie G.I means "General Infantry", and now is a term for ALL Army guys, as a nickname. But I have spent too much time around American stuff.

  • @TheBigDead0ne Hmmm never heard of heard of that at all, at least not when I was in a Canadian Reserve Unit. We only used Infantry, Infantryman or I think now the term most used is Infanteers. (Not PC to use Ifnfantryman now I guess).

  • @NovaScotiaNewfie It's probably an American exclusive term, but I prefer it. Heck, I'm not even an Army MP yet.

  • @TheBigDead0neThats fine but if you join you pretty much used the established terms of the Forces, ie) you don't call a Sergeant Sarge, a rifle is not a gun etc. They will correct you pretty quick when you use non Canadian Forces lingo :D

  • @NovaScotiaNewfie Trust me, I know Cadets is nothing, but I've learned from them.

  • @TheBigDead0ne no it mean General Issue, a US term from WW2

  • I am former Canadian Forces Infantry and even I know that comparing a regular soldier to special forces is completely retarded...The fact that you say "equivalent to special forces and marines" just shows how dumb you are, special forces and marines are 2 completely different categories...and 38 thumbs up shows how stupid and ignorant the rest of the population is

  • @GetSum63 lol well said brother. Considering that I'm still serving... I agree with you a 100%.

P.s- Since I am commenting. You should hear my 'Lest We Forget' song. Something us men in uniform especially, can relate to.

    ~}[]{

  • @GetSum63 Just as I keep trying to tell people, it's simple common sense, but you can say Canadian G.I's are equal or better trained than Marines.

  • @TheBigDead0ne equal to, yes better than, no. Im sure your aware of the U.S. defence budget and a lot of that goes into training we as Canadians just cant compete with that budget. Americans get more range time, more class time, more variety, not to mention deployments; and that's the main thing. Before A-stan our soldiers were being trained by people without combat experience while our neighbours to the south like to invade a new country every 4-5 years. Combat experience is vital in training.

  • @GetSum63 Canadian Forces training is longer than the USMC training, so that means more professionalism, but the Marines are still good at what they do. My point exactly, that's why I said "we are too small to compete with America alone, so we'd have to bring together the commonwealth to fight them, commonwealth can beat pretty much anybody".

  • @fusionhitman You're not even the video's uploader, dumbfuck. And I know everything I need to know, as I'm joining next year. My uncle and his uncle were both in Army. My G-Father was in Vietnam, so shut the fuck up, you think you know everything, but you really are nothing.

  • @fusionhitman :Troll:

  • @fusionhitman I want to know the size of your dick.

  • @fusionhitman Sit down, fat man. Wannabe army-man.

  • Fuck CFLRS. I hated that place. Big time.

  • individually canadian soldiers are trained to standards almost as high as as the US green beret's. Keeping in mind that is other than our CSOR and JTF2 etc. and we all know that if the USA was ever attacked by China, North Korea, Russia, or any other country that the Sons of Yank upset we would be to the aid of them cause we may be a nice country....... But we're Ruthless SOB's if we gotta be so we are awsome northern neghbors to have.

  • my brother is in the forces and we are no comparison to any other military we have low tech gear and to cheap to back up the training any other military could beat us easily , and on top of that we are hardly a military but a support force." quote forces"

  • @RainbowRoberta sounds like an angry american troll. I wonder why he closed his account after posting that...

  • hello i am 15 years old and all i want to do is join the Role Canadian Navy but Im wondering about the qualification and what all you do in basic. if some one can help that will be grate

  • @CanadianNavy950 go to forces.ca

  • oh these back pack must be hell to cary

  • @TIJUL11 It can be if not assempled or maintained properly. The new ones also suck. Personally I'm a fan of the old old ones the 62 Pattern Jump Ruck. Small good frame. Strong.

    ~Thanato

  • looked like st jeans

  • is this at CFB Borden?

  • can i join when im 18 in the infantry without going to the reserves? Can i be 17 to join the infantry then ile be able to join in a year.

  • @cfxboxmoh you can join the Reg force at 17. I went to St. Jean for my basic But there is a chance you can end up going to Borden Ontario for you BMQ. I went to basic with a bunch of guys who were only 17. Go for it!

  • @DCJuggalo Thanks but i made my descion that i will join the infantry when im 18!

  • @cfxboxmoh You can join at age 17 if you have finished grade 10. no reserves

  • @cfxboxmoh i suggest finishing highschool, because youll have more education and youll be more easily available for promotion. but good luck. i suggest handing in an application now so that at least you can get the interview medical physical and aptitude out of the way which takes at least 3-4 months to do (they take a while in the CF) and infantry is completely full atm

  • @walkertexasranger33 How hard is the aptitude test?

  • @cfxboxmoh im assuming youre still in highschool. not very hard the only difficult part for me was remembering the math and equations since it was 3 years since i had taken math in school. I'm really good with spelling and word comprehension but the words they used in that test were some that I literally had never seen or heard of in my life (but i wouldNTsuggest reading the dictionary becuase it was only a small part of the test) I was told i did pretty good on it, though they dont give you

  • @cfxboxmoh your results, they do tell you what trades you made the standards for on the test. but personally it was just the math that was the only hard thing cause i hadnt thought or done any in a few years. you can look on the forces website to see what components are in the test, i think theres 3 main sections, its on a computer and is done in a kind of weird atmosphere. I dont see how you would have a problem. but i advice handing in your application asap. because of the long wait youll have

  • @cfxboxmoh sorry im taknig so long to explain everything but. because the infantry doenst look like its going to be recruiting anyone for at least a 6 months- a year MINIMUM id suggest phoning the local infantry or combat engineer unit in your city to see if they have any positions available in the reserves. i recently re-applied into the reserves and am waiting to join up very soon. then when regular force opens up you can hop on into it

  • @walkertexasranger33 I talked to a recruiter last August, and he told me they won't be recruiting until sometime in March, and to re-apply in Feb. So you should give that a go.

  • @Sinvx nah thanks though, i joined a combat engineer regiment in early december, on my 2nd weekend of bmq

  • @Sinvx i'm thinking of staying on for a few years and more then likely join reg force so that i'm not wasting anyone's money by getting all my training and switching to reg in 1 year, that would be ignorant

  • Equivalent to the special forces and the marines, the Canadian Forces is one of the most well-trained army in the world.

  • @RedSarcov The Canadian forces are not equivalent to SF

  • @RedSarcov Sorry but i have no idea where you got that notion, these men are still in basic it looks like and your comparing them to Delta, SAS and SEALS, please leave earth if your going to be that ridiculous.

  • @RedSarcov i would not say special forces it's close but not exact were better then the marines.

  • @RedSarcov no kidding

  • @RedSarcov Special forces equivalent? ah, no... equivalent to my beloved USMC... NO! (a matter of pride there)... but I admit you're very well trained, I trained with the Canadian army at Camp Hunter Liggett back in the early 90's and I've got a lot of respect for you, but the equivalent of our elite, not really (maybe better trained than our Army man for man though). I admit though, your snipers ARE among the best in the world... i'm not trolling, I'm just telling it like it is.

  • @TroubleMan21C actually our military has gotten much better since the 90's just incase you didnt know. We are among the most well trained army in the world. Sorry but its true, our troops our better trained then the americans, and thats just our regular troops, never mind our special ops. I could only imagine there better trained then your special ops as well.

  • @mutterfukken I think man for man your Canadian Army IS probably better trained than our average US. Army 11-Bravo due to the fact that there are fewer to train, more emphasis can be put on the individual infantryman, I do know that a lot of your special forces training takes place here in the US. by OUR instructors at Ft. Bragg, trained alongside our Rangers and Green Berets, by the same token, WE also train for arctic warfare in Canada with YOUR instructors so... I think they're prob. close.

  • @TroubleMan21C I have to agree that man for man we are better trained, overall like everyone knows how use every weapon (infantry for example, everyone knows how to use mortars), unlike the US army where is a secondary MOC. Don't get me wrong, I like the american military . Plus I'd rather have you guys on our side, since we would get outnumbered by most countries. Since we have roughly 50,000 to 60,000 in service while NEW ZEALAND for example has 100,000, I mean come on New Zealand has more :(

  • @TrentonPaintballer I can't really argue with you there, like I said I've worked along side the Canadian Army on a few occasions and have nothing but respect for the capabilities of the ones that I've met... thing is, your army may be small, but I'm glad we're allies and not enemies.

  • @TrentonPaintballer Wtf are you talking about? Newzeland has 12,000 in total personnel and we have 100,000.

  • @SNeyePED No We don't have 100,000 we have around 60,000

  • @TrentonPaintballer we have 60,000 ACTIVE duty personnel and 40,000 RESERVE personnel. add it up.

  • @SNeyePED again nope

  • @mutterfukken To be real though, I'm glad we're on the same side...

  • @RedSarcov Are you an idiot? Equivalent to the special forces? I assume you mean something like Delta or SAS, which my friend...the regular force is not.

  • @RedSarcov The U.S Marines are FAR from the U.S Special Forces standards, don't be fooled by USMC commercials.
