my Shiba, Yoshi, absolutely despises the water. he will not go out in the backyard in the rain, he will not step in puddles, he will not take a bath. i still have yet to hear his Shiba Scream as well.

@Pikaqiu All japanese wolves are extinct, some mainland asian wolves are around but they are rare. The closest you get is a shikoku inu, which is a domesticated hokaido wolf/shiba inu cross (but they are hybrid crossed with hybrid). Ive got one and I can tell you there MUCH more of a handfull that any dog or standard wild wolf/dog cross that ive owned before. XD

my siba inu dante just ran ova when he herd the doggie screming but any wase at risly resavor my doggie ( i bought him wit us ) was like one im not going is i carryed him in hes such a baby but then he was all like ohh this isnt soo bad then thats when he saw the fish and ran out of the water hes to babyis to do that but that was last year and now he livs going to vally falls ( difrent place ) to go catch the minnos and stuff its too funny

I have 3 Shibas, the older male can't stay out of the water, the oldest female can take it or leave it and the youngest female makes it a point to swim. Guess I'm lucky. Shiba's are the greatest

Initially, she would not go near the water, so I carried her into the river and set her in the water to swim to shore. From then on, we could not keep her out of the river!!!

Originally, she would not go in the water, once in, she would not get out. She did this for hours at every opportunity. The forest service ranger was going to come tell us about a bear sighting but decided he didn't need to because with all the noise she was making, we were in no danger.
