Their mom is feral. You only see her if she lets you. I don't work there anymore. But I saw her one last time about a year later. She looked healthy and happy, prowling through the grass stalking birds. She looks like Sweet Pea, but larger. And she passed on her feral ways. Sweet Pea isn't that sweet. She's not very cuddly, except on rare ocassions. And she catches and eats birds, mice, even bugs. She earns her supper just for that. Look at my other videos to see her in action. She's wild.
They're all beautiful, as is their mama (you). Bless you for taking them home. They are all acting as they should. I've done this same routine quite a few times. Smoooooth sailin', if you ask me. All is well I hope.
They're doing well, but they'll always have their wild traits. Sweet Pea doesn't like to be picked up, but i do anyway. She's slowly getting used to it. Smokey is a little more friendly, he often jumps on my lap. He likes to be held, but he's close to 20 pounds! Sweet Pea is barely 7. Anyway as you can see from these videos, they go after anything that moves, birds, mice, even bugs. When there's no prey, they often chase each other. It can be a real mad house around here. They're so much fun.
How have they adjusted to a domesticated life? I'm currently feeding 4 ferals, 3 happen to be young ones. I'm going to vaccinate and spay/neuter until I can find them homes.
i know, she looks so sad, that look made me feel bad for taking her away from her mother. but if i didn't then animal control would of got the kittens and possibly their mother too.
did you try to save the mom?
