  • I want to see that against Gracie Jiu Jitsu. Does he have a ground game, or he has to do all that moving and keep a distance in a MMA fight

  • @soulofthebang Lol, Kung Fu just isnt practical enough for an MMA fight. Alot of attacks are illegal like attacking the eyes, throat, groin, and you cant expect to be throwing around a bunch of arm blocks against a boxer anyway. Even so, BJJ is essential in MMA. I suppose, they could pull some Bruce Lee jump, over a take down. I dunno, I canèt picture it working. Obasi is a moron.

  • Someone please post USA vs China in the movie The Quest. I want to see some tiger style kung fu.

  • That Chinese Boxer has epic skills!

  • I love kung fu. Its different personalities and its grace. But too many fixed positions and classical mess. There are a few styles that are soo long and are much easier to apply to the street, but not many.

  • @wushufan2008 Korean fighter? this who lost?

  • @wushufan2008

I agree! He should be hired for more movies! I miss the old kung fu movies where the actor fought using ONLY animal styles.

  • He's just standing there flexing. hahahaha!

  • what movie is this?

  • 1.Cover your mouth with hand

    2. Make wish

    3. Close hand

    4. Hold hand to heart for 5 second.

  • @myjanuary151987 van damn is slow as hell

  • @myjanuary151987 yeah.. why not?

  • @myjanuary151987 this guy is pretty good, he made it to the semi finals :D

  • @Sanic Fuck it.

  • @myjanuary151987 In Fact, I think the chinese gets beaten by a big japanese sumo.. and the sumo gets beaten by .. a Mongolian.. and this mongolian is the one doing the final fight with Van Damne

  • @Rembo7454 yeah, I wonder how it would looks like if that korean guy fight sumo

  • just because your Chinese doesn't make you a expert at chinese martial arts. i am a student of tiger kung fu and i think you will get your ass kicked by anyone there

  • So apparently snake can kick.

  • Confucius say..."Trouser snake kung fu very deadly towards naive and horny women"

  • I remember this movie. The Kung Fu scenes really stood out. That guy was amazing. I'll have to look him up on IMDb now.

    Thanks for the upload!

  • I'm ten seconds in and I have a boner caused by the epicness I've seen thus far.

  • he combined snake and drunking boxing not bad combo ps fior the idoits who dont see the bit of drunken style watch him hes of balance a bit when he falls onto the knee

  • btw where can i see this moive? i cant seem to find it

  • the movie is "The Quest" starring Jean Claude van Damme. No idea where you could find it. Netflix or megavideo maybe? and you are right about those styles being for physical health and flexibility, but they can be effective if many of the excessive movements are removed. It all depends on the martial artist.

  • true...ive seen a Shaolin student snap kick this big guy at his shoulder and it was blistering RED...SNAP like a SNAKE...if that kick was to the head...he would be in a concussion!

  • french title : le grand tournois

  • all the animal kung fu are only mean for the health of the human body, dont for fighting. you try to use any of those in a real fight you will get your azz kicked.

like bruce lee said. "too much excessive movemnet" is usless.

  • your fucking retarded thats why snake, tiger and any other animal style is the deadliest in the world go to shaolin china and say that bitch

  • lol your trying to tell a chinese guy what is right or worng in a kung fu. kid learn your shit then come back to talke again.

  • @crailtap9292 lol your tell that to a chinese guy who learns MA. your a fucking dumb shit. go learn some animal style then try using them.

  • @1102071

Animal styles can be used for fighting, retard. The way you're commenting just shows your utter ignorance.

  • @1102071

Oh yeah, why don't you try visiting any schools teaching genuine Kung Fu and see if you'll get clawed into pieces or your eyes poked out by snake hands. I am sure you won't , since you're just a pathetic coward behind the keyboard.

  • @Skillking22 ok guy, before you can even start to comment, do your ressearch of how animal stly came to be, dont try to base it on all your moives you watched.

  • Comment removed

  • @Skillking22 From history, kung fu are evolving from animal's activity or actions

  • @Sam7EEE

True. Yet some idiots like 1102071 doesn't even understand such simple things despite being a so-called student of Tiger Kung Fu. What a shame.

  • kung fu is great!

  • fuck them for taking the korean guy out so soon, why didn't they take out the gay ass spanish bull fighter looking guy, he was the gayest person in the movie, or maybe the mongolion guy.

  • @silentk1987

You have right, they should stay this korean fighter for more fights, would like to see his fight with that sumo japanese fighter

  • haha yeah I know why'd they have to do the Korean guy like that.

  • @dannyc84 why?

  • snake form is very fast .... u need to inherit the speed by regular practice. u have to strike like a snake in order to be the snake master

  • jezuz....artist is right. beautiful stuff.

  • the movie is :

the quest with jean-claude van damme

  • wow. that looked soooo real..

  • como se llama esta pelicula alguien me dice?

  • The Quest. La Busqueda (si no mal recuerdo).

  • what movie is this from?

  • what moive was this?

  • the thing at 0:07 reminds me of something prince would do lol

  • lol soo unrealistic.

  • what's the style of the opponent?

  • standing still and taking hits-style.. his stance looks like karate and so do his punches but a few other martial arts have those punches and stances like tae kwon do, except tae kwon do uses kicks more.

  • @minetube90

korea (tkd) vs china (snake style)

it's funny how they have the tkd guy do a rising block and acting like a brawler

  • @paqboy910

    Nope! You're incorrect.

Korea (Tang Soo Do) Vs. China (Snake Style Kung Fu)

  • oh...well...i still got korea right :D lol it's been awhile since i seen it but they could have made korea better ya know?

  • You have right, that Korean fighter should have more fights, after win over this little guy, He would have fight with that sumo fighter, that could be interesting :)

  • tang soo do and tkd are basically the same, we had a joint tornament HTF TKD, and Tang Soo Do, the only difference was there breathing, everything else pretty much the same.

  • i know nothing about martial arts....but that snake practicing dewd is a thing of beauty, me thinks...

  • Crap. The other guy looked like a person to lose deliberately.

  • @myjanuary151987 It's called fight choreography, the fight coordinator for the scene didn't do his job very well.

  • Maybe, you are right

  • dude when will you fkers learn... size dont matte.r.. i could be 4 feet talll and kill stone cold man ( all westling is fake even mexican stuff) SO FK U SIZE BASED NOOOBSZ

  • oh oh this chinese guy is cool. anyway...people who think that this big guy can beat the small chinese guy...you're all wrong...in buddhism(sorry for the wrong spelling..I guess) there is no small and big.. I believe the saying: "Don't judge the book by its cover" (hoohoo I'm being cool this days) hm.. =3

  • I agree with you, Young Li! I train wu shu and I used to train with taller opponents(I´m 1,72), I always had the advantage using really low stances, however my fights with shorter opponents twere usually harder.

  • that Korean fighter should kicked out this small guy with few punches....

  • fuck van damn who is this fighter bad ass styles

  • "You just got F'd in the A."

  • The name of the movie is quest and Jean Claude's character did win, but the partner that he came with tried to steal the prize, so he could not keep his earnings.

  • This chararacter was won the tournment, not jean claude

  • pwned

  • what is the film name from this scence

  • the quest by jean claude van varrenberg

  • OH MAN! I remember watching this one! Old School! That was great! The Snake Kung Fu does emphasize unpredictable strikes. The opponent should have used sticky hand Tai Ostrich using steep traps and retaining traps.

  • where can i watch "the quest"?

  • this dude is cool

  • shit....

  • who is this guy, ive seen him doing monkey kung fu and now snake kung fu

  • Nice fight scene but, what's the name of the movie?

  • the name of the movie is "the quest"

  • Sorry friend but I was being sarcastic. Every second Comment asks the same question even though the title is in the description.

  • LOL

  • It's not really snake applications. They just got a wushu performer for the scene. That's not to say that he may not know how to use them. Let's just say if it was choreographed by someone who actually knew more about the styles alot of the fights would have been better. Regardless, I enjoyed them for what they were. At least the fights weren't all stiff.

  • woooow io soy cinturon rosa de fung fu del conegito y no presumo tanto jum ¬¬

  • did someone hear something in 0:24?

  • what did you hear?

  • "The Quest" with Jean Clode van Dame

  • certainly a very rare /Wushu Moment/ on american martial arts movies. thanks for posting, you get 5 stars from masteringwushu . com

  • its snake cause he used all his motions against him

  • Dats Monkey Style man.....

  • I don't see any snakish movements except in the dances before and after the fight.

  • 0:18 seconds did he hesitate?

  • Stupid ppl for the hundred time this movie is called The Quest.

    v

    v

    v

  • the quest!!!!!!

  • Film name is "The Quest" starring Jean Claude Van Damme

  • Loved that kick at the end! Lol.

Anyone know what movie this is from?

  • Check the description, its from Van Damme's "The Quest"

  • "The Quest" by Jean Claude Van Damme XD.

  • the quest with jean claude van damn

  • very good!

  • this guy is amazing!! yes its hollywood but u cant fake those moves damn!

  • Agreed. You know if this guy has been in any other movies?

  • Yes but only as a supporting figure in some of the movies. His name is Peter Wong.

I wish if Peter can be promoted to be an actor, I hope Jackie Chan or Jet Li will pay attention to him. Peter Wong is cool!

The opposite Korean Fighter (white pants) is also appear in several movies such as Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story as the brother of Lee's opponent, and BloodSport II: The Next Kumite as the final fighter named Demon. I'm sorry I've forgotten his real name.

  • Dang, you know your stuff. You know what movies Peter Wong has been in?

  • Not much. IMDB or Google will help.

Btw, post Peter Wong's Monkey KungFu & Tiger KungFu (this one is my favorite, against VanDamme).

  • dude, that's life, someone is equally good but will never get the chance to be a big star, maybe his look is not that impressive, or personality, whatsoever. I am sure that are loads of highly skilled kungfu master out there, but to be a star, it took a lot more than just technique

  • Yeah, you're right. It is all about probability between chances, like picking any two colors of balls in the sack. If you pick 'White', you get it. If you pick 'Black', you lose.

  • you cant fake the moves but you can fake the effectiveness. i think in an actual fight the other guy wouldve moved around a bit more and been much more resistant to the ass kicking he just took

  • lol...

  • whats the title of that movie..can sum1 tell plss..plss pm me if u know??

  • the Quest

  • so no "human style" in chinese kung fu? too bad human are too intelligent..

  • and also the weakest.

  • Lol "Human style" Is those "badazz gangsta wannabe street fightas" and they cant fight for shit. You want to imitate Human style? Be my guest.

  • what is the movie name?

  • Fight scene in "The Quest"

    lol.description man. xd

  • the way the snake blocks at 0:21 made no sense to me, im no martail arts expert but that didn't look like a block it looked like he was try to redirect that punch into his own face

  • i dont think the director knows martial arts either... good eyes..

    btw this is SHOWBIZ

  • Well the Director is JCVD this is his directors debut so you were saying

  • that's a good point. he blocks inward rather than directing it away from himself. the odd part is that the guy's hand still stops short of hitting him despite the fact that nothing was keeping his punch from landing.

  • Well, if you look closer.. you may realize the snake artist move at 0:21 is not a block.. it's an attack..

  • Mmm the guy in white pants (the one who losses) also knows kung fu... Horse style actually...

  • Fight scene in "The Quest"

Please read the description before posting. its form the film "The quest"

  • wots da movi called

  • Ahhh this is Mortal Kombat isn't it??

  • uuuuuuuuhhhhhhh.........NO!

  • i want to learn that o_o

  • True shaolin animal styles have kick attacks. Snake, Dragon, Eagle claw, Crane, and Tiger go through tough finger conditioning so that the hand strikes are strong and deadly. It is the primary focus of attacks, the kicks are secondar. You can fight like that in real life. I'm master in animal style system. By observing a specific animal, put your mindstate with the animal, so I can understand it's nature, also full contact sparring in real time is a must, but spar alot until it comes natural.

  • there ya brawlers see how bad brawl-fighting really is xD

  • best fight in movie XD

  • KUNG FU RULES!!! xD

  • on 0.04 did he almost slip lol?

  • actually thats the way is fought

  • as i say...quick,effective nd fatal!(Y)
