Your only problem is universal health care. Government mandated insurance/coverage is insane without addessing any form of price fixing on part of the health/pharma industries. Go back to economics, price is a function of supply and demand. Its nothing more than that now, with insurance companies being a middle man spreading costs around and taking a little profit off the top.

Universal==fixed demand. So any government plan needs to simply manipulute, dictate, the price so that suppliers sufficiently meet the demand. And you should talk to physicians now, many will not serve medicaid and some have even gone to private pay only. Insurance companies actually do hold down prices that physicians really WANT to charge.

Anything else is shuffling money around, you might as well just say that. Mandated employer coverage is inequitable as not all businesses have the same profit margin per employee ratios. In short, if your going to socialize health care then go all the way and do it.

Take Wellpoint as an example. Roughly 50 million enrolled. Wellpoint profits around $150 a year off each member, if my numbers are correct. Insurance companies profitting $150 a year per member isn't keeping people from being covered, its the actual cost of healthcare itself.

They did not like having that pointed out to them at the debate last night. Good work in SC. Hope you can rally there. It would be really good for you, and good for the average and little guys. Being more conservative, my only concern is that we do need the military where they are for longer. Those views were too extreme for me. But Keep up the work!
