Actually, the canadians had quite a few issues on there beach during the d-day invasion. Then the United States had to bail there ass out and send in planes that were helping on Omaha and Utah beach to help the Canadian lines from falling, the Canadians fought really hard though...
yea the british took 2 beaches, the United states took 3, and the bloodiest beach was Omaha, and we still powered through that, the british do have a very strong army and navy, but i think the united states proved a lot more on D Day than the british did, i mean, we had to come and save ur asses by the english channel

What is my "claim" that you say is to be refuted? The only statement I made is that Service Members go where they are told. I don't assume that the "majority" of U.S. Soldiers are good, I KNOW this. For that not to be true, over 50% or every living U.S. service member must be a criminal. Shrill political ideology against the U.S. and our military aside, that an easily be refuted. I simply said that for the conclusion of the argument that you made above to be true, you would have to assume that the majority of Marines are good people, for that matter that a large majority of Marines are good people.

I attest that my statement about bad policy and good people is easily qualifiable and is not subjective. Soldiers follow orders. Policy says go into Iraq. Good Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines go into Iraq and execute the mission. A minority of them commit "atrocities". Therefore, whether their directed mission is perceived honorable by some or not, they are good people following their oath. I hope you see th epoint I am getting at.
