don't buy this solar collector, the pipes are for a seperate type of application. In this design you're creating a greenhouse around pipes full of liquid, but having each individual pipe encased in it's own glass tube greenhouse is not cost effective for this type of application.
vacuum tubes do heat water way faster and hotter than flat panel solar heater BUT!! if you need a 210 degrees shower then it will only be once, I make my own flat panel solar water heaters and they put out 140 degrees of hot water which is perfect for all your needs, in the heat of summer it can top 160 degrees, I have 2 systems that I am experimenting on at the moment, one is a modification of the simple water panel and the other a glycol heat transfer system. Both can be made at home!!!!!
@TheDudeRulez09 what does your system do (if you have cold climate like my place) at 0 degrees or even under just 5 degrees?
Those temparatures are pretty common here, and 4x 30 pipe vacuum collectors + heat storage tank with boiler cut my heating bill in half in winter, not to mention i cover up 3collectors during summer and still get 0$ bill for hot water.
30 pipe collector is around €500-600 = $660-800
i'm from central Europe, and climate here doesn't really favor flat panels in winter.
@goodiezgrigis I cant answer that, II live in Texas and while it does get cold here it doesn't reach those temps, it still warms the water but not to comfortable levels, I have designed a 4 stage redundant system that guarantees hot water regardless the temperature, but its not all solar. Stage 1 is solar flat panel, stage 2 is batch solar heat transfer, stage 3 is wood fired and 4 is propane. I haven't had to do propane yet but I made that option available just in case its needed.
Since the author does not respond: Solar vacume tubes are a device that is a metal rod or pipe encased in a long glass cylinder with the air vacumed out creating a near perfect insulating property. It is used to heat water that's why you see the steam, there is likely a water tank on the top part of the pipes which are tilted up because hot water rises!!
This is a sample to the heating power of a vacuum tube. While the external temperature is low, the water inside the vacuum tubes is steaming and boiling off.

Looks like you have something really interesting - but please talk through the video and tell us about it.

@TheDudeRulez09 I think they last longer too.

Would you care to explain what you did, what you sused, sizes, temps, capacities otherwise this is just a silly video
