It may not be the inital salary of the worker here but the money payed out to job banks and benefits that get little or nothing in return value. Also workers in other countries may be able to live on a lesser salary because of the cost of living and lifestyle they have. Americans have become people of status from posessions with debt and not people of a rational lifestyle.
Sorry mohammedadshaun, what you suggest is the impossible. No way 500 million people can get the intellect of Steve Jobs in order for America to compete. Simply put, most of us (including me) are not smart enough to get Master degrees. The idea that every hard working American will be fine if he/she just becomes a high tech engineer is unrealistic. If the bar is now raised that high on the entire population; we must consider modification of the humane genome as a solution to upgrade our I.Q.
My friend threw an xbox controller at the ground flew out of it, hit the tv screen and cracked it :( brand new tv only 2 weeks gold and 2 grand down the toilet. Quality right there for sure.
I spend a lot of time getting a good price for my product, thats what I spend the most time with... everything else kinda comes together for me much easier.
@johnnyfucking2time I worked a job like that as well. I am thankful for it in some ways though because it reminds me where I came from and that I never want to go back to that lifestyle again.
when you have a car... that can transform your heart into a vagina, that's priceless.
I'm anti-car now, but must say nothing beats a 911 experience. It's sexual healing, when you drive it. It rubs your aorta like any good clit. I think everyone should live through that once. It'll take alot for me to waste money on cars again. But at some point ill have to tap dat azz again. A good sports car is literally a sexual THRILL, with moans included!
I used to wear a shirt that said i don't get out of bed for less than $10k a day - Linda Evangelista. LOL. I used to make rockstar bank and seem to be dovetailing back to greatness again. I anticipate by 2013 I will have more than doubled my income. I have TOO MANY oppurtunities, not just ideas but people that want to partner, etc.
Let's just hope my bipolar mania doesn't sabotage things. I don't believe in medicine, since if I did take it I wouldn't be wildly creative. Double sword yo.
@EWOKCAD - you psychic you. LOL!!!! I have very little attention span for new channels. I'm quite frankly amazed i've lasted this long here but thats a testament to Abdul's drive to create compelling, unclownish content.
i unsubbed from demcad, wepollock and all the economic doomers way over a year ago. George is the only doomer I have left. Cause it's all about the drama over there. I love his bipolar-ish rants!!!!
Yep georges quirky behavior is epic. Your right most of the youtubers are just repeating themselves for the last 2 or 3 years and not even in a creative fashion.
Brother Abdul: I haven't shaved my head in 15 years.Like your hair style!Real Smooth! Oops now back to the topic. The USA should definitely be a leader in design, creation, intellectual properties & product creation.
Even if the prices for US goods was better I still prefer to import items. Reason is if it's a US company I have 100 other people selling it. Right now 90% of my inventory comes from either Canada, Europe or China. Only 10% comes from companies within the USA. But like I said that 10% I have more competition with selling so slimmer profits.
Interesting video. I definitely think we (as a country) have to look at the way the world is going to work in 10 years. The businesses with the higher profits will be those that can do it, make it, provide customer service for it at the cheaper price. Companies like IBM, google, youtube, and Facebook don't really make products but create and sell services with few exceptions here there. We have to create a reasonable balance though. We can't become dependent. Think about oil, gas, petroleum....

#2 There are only a few American made products that are doing well. The American made guitar industry is doing well right now. Fender, Gibson, and PRS are the top 3 guitar companies in the world. All 3 companies do have a companies do have cheaper made guitars made overseas.
#1 I think America should go in the direction of technology & creating things. American workers cost too much. Most sucessful businesses have things made in china for cheap & sell things high.
@mohammedabshaun aren't you forgetting a little tiny itsy bitsy factor in all this by the name of dirty dirty politics?
the laws are/were written by corporate scum for corporate scum so that china/Thailand/Indonesia/Mexico/etc are the ONLY manufacturers for them while making small business competition with US LOCAL PRODUCTION practically impossible and above mentioned countries' production as close to slavery as possible as they suppress every single minimum pay raise laws and unions.
@leo00o83 Well we shouldn't even be talking about minimum wage because you nor I want to be paid that less. I think America shouldn't worry about manufacturer jobs, we should be creating not making anything. For those who had jobs like that should be improving their skills so they want have to work a job like that again.
@mohammedabshaun The problem with that is that corporate scum are suppressing creators as well as average joes by oppressive patent laws that prevent most products from serving a need for the public. There is no true pristine free market that supports inventors. Most inventors in this corporate nightmare we're living in have to sell their patent to one big corporate scum or another to even get a chance to see success.
We are about to be dealing with the affects of peak oil as that price of oil rises it will no longer be profitable to conduct business over thousands of miles. The economy starts to recover and the oil prices rise the economy is doomed it will not be allowed to recover until we solve our energy crisis. We have got to invest in real public transportation that works simple as rail and trolley cars. I have seen what public transportation can do in ATL MARTA is the SHIT !
why do the smart people always make less?
