oh come on crysis 2 was a disappointment, yeah story was good but the gameplay of crysis 1 was unique, it was little open with side missions too... crysis 2 was clearly inspired by cod which was very bad.. same thing happened to battlefield, the series was unique till battlefield 3..

Honestly, I thought Crysis 2 was actually pretty good. The story was awesome, the gameplay was good too. I know it's not as open as Crysis 1, but still it has the whole "choose a path" thing that I thought was interesting. And of course, you can either go in Rambo style or go stealth. I don't care what people said, Crysis 2 I thought was a great game. May not be as amazing as the first, but still, pretty awesome

Besides you cant just "compare graphics" BF3 has huge open maps while C2 was closed cities. each requires different implementations to get the most out of the game

BF3, on the other hand, never developed anything new, they just slightly modified stuff like SSS, Wavelet Radiance, and Participating Media Methods. Crytek never has the best, but they always push technology in the right direction. DICE always expands on existing technology, allowing for a more practical usage
