This refers to an identity, rather then equals :)

For example,

3 = 2 + 1 is the equation, and this is definitly equal

But, this is not an identity (3 lines)

But,

3 = 3 (so you can use three lines here as it is exactly the same thing)

That's as simple as i can put it :)

Dude my brain just melted! I totally understand HOW you did it. But can you teach us to think like you? like tips and stuff. I know how. But I dunno which side to do sometimes. And as you showed in the last example " doing most complicated side " trick is a load of crap

@boxoflols the right side had tan, cot, sin, cos, (inverses, reciprocals .etc). The left side had sin and cos. He chose the right side.
