hello!! i'd like to ask.. considering that g-major's outputs are 1/4 balanced and a guitar amp's fx loop is usually unbalanced.. is there a problem in the connections or the set-up is the usual one?
@guyshocks They are fine units for the price. I was having crashing issues with mine but |I took it apart and resaeting the chip and it seems fine now.
@venomousfinger The G Force is a older unit, higher quality in my opinion however even though you can do trailing delays on the G-Force it's a pain in the ass. The G Major and G Major II are a brezze to do trails with. The G Major II and GForce have intelligent pitch shifting.
@samhillband Thanx Bro! I built my new rig: Marshall JVM 410H Marshall 1936 2x12 V30 Furman PL-PLUS E Korg DTR 2000 ISP Decimator ProRack G G Major II Ground Control Pro. Cables? In my country its hard to find Mogami cable. Other brand? What do you think of this set-up? Thanx again Bro!
Hey Mark, I am considering getting the GMajor 2... I plan on using it in the loop of the roadster (the loop is series). Do you still use the GMajor 2 or have you stopped using it?? I just need it for efx.. plan on using it for delay/reverb etc...
How do you feel about this unit, are there any other $500 units that would be better?
Mark you did not say what you thought about the g2 is it an upgrade? from what i can see just the filter form the g system (without the dual processor and the harmonised pitch shifting from the g force . which for me make it a re badged g force. ? made in thailand rather than denmark.
I dont think the sound is better or worse just different . I used to use a micro amp for the same purpose but instead i now use a keeley fuzz head which has got to be the biggest missnomer of all time it does not sound fuzzy at all It barely overdrives but it really does tighten up the sound on the crunch channel channel on the lead channel it adds bottom and a high mid to mey ears check one out .
i gotta say Mark, i have no idea what this technical talking is about but i think you play PRO!!! and at the end was Ratt wasn't it! lol:P good job dude
sounds great. if you ever get a chance to try a hughes & kettner tubefactor pedal i think it would be right up your alley. 2 selectable stages of boost/gain. it makes my mesa roadster sound much more defined with a more articulate distortion, which is one of the things i like about your tone.
I have to say it Mark, your tone sounds much, much better without the Zakk OD. A lot cleaner and smoother.
I've always thought that with as much gain as you've dialed in on the OD100SE+, all you needed was a cleanish boost like the Microamp or the Xotic RC Booster
is it wingers TIME TO SURRENDER at 0:33 ? great sound!

Nice video as always!
One answer: what differences there are between Gforce and G Major 2?
Sound ?
More effects?
Or something else?
Thanx in advance!

If you go to suhrguitarsDOTcom you can price one out.
They are the best guitars in the business in my opinion. The customer service is above and beyond!!

Does the Micro Amp clips when you have full volume on the Blackout bridge pickup?

If so, great ear! I like Warren DeMartini, but never paid extremely close attention to the solos. :)
