  • Wish they had shown the wrestling match with Steeve Reeves and alan Steel from start to finish !!!

  • he would've been the Perfect Superman.

  • Miltiades himself was a ruthless dictator, he also slaughtered the Parians funny he should talk about democracy.

  • @MrAugustus88 Miltiades argued his way out of a death sentence and eventually became a general. You can't beat Ancient Greece for bizarre stories like this. Just look at the strange life of Alcibiades. Greek democracy was very volatile...and outright dangerous. The generals of a victorious naval battle were executed because they failed to pick up survivors. The public (who voted on it) soon regretted the decision and turned on the prosecutors, who fled the country. LOL.

  • Bought this movie in a dollar store. The cinematography in this film was too advanced, worthy of a photographer who happens to direct movies.....under water scenes were before their time...Hollywood didn't even show blood on this scale at this time...not even war ,westerns or even gangster-cop shootout movies.

  • @somerzeze I bought this in a 16 movie set in walmart for 3 dollars, 15 other similar movie classics came with it. Score! lol

  • wow i did not know there was a movie about philipides

  • he does look alot smaller in this movie,he must be around 180.

  • one of the reasons mr reeves didn't act in samson and delilah was that he didn't lose the weight they required him to lose for the part...and now for this film he loses the weight that they want him to lose

  • @ronwelker8 Which is stupid because samson was (like Hercules) was giant of man the strongest on earth. Hollywood is foolish

  • @LVSWTZ we will never know how steve reeve's career would have changed if cecil b demille had make him the star of SAMSON AND DELILAH ALREADY IN 1949 instead of making steve reeves wait for his big hercules role in 1958 or 1959.. 1949 Hollywood producers did not think the pyublic was ready to see a man as muscular and chiselled as steve reeves and millions of people were excited with the not chiselled looks of Victor Mature who had to lost weight too for the role of samson

  • @ronwelker8 yep! Victor Mature did a great job but still looked very unpolished no muscle shape at all. But reeves would've been perfect. The stupidity of hollywood wanting a muscleman too loose muscle to play a muscleman. Meanwhile charlton heston, yul brynner, kurt douglas, and woody stroode. Three of them being in the same movie A cecil b demille MOVIE LOL all were muscled and sculpted especially stroode who had a Mr Universe level physique ridiculous

  • @LVSWTZ "Meanwhile charlton heston, yul brynner, kurt douglas, and woody stroode. Three of them being in the same movie A cecil b demille MOVIE LOL". 3 of my favorite actors, in the same movie, & I've never heard of it??? Which movie was it?

  • @gjc82071 Sorry lol! only three of were in the same cecil b demille Then Ten Comanments. no kurt douglas

  • Wish someone would put up the Film Crew version of this movie again

  • 03:00: And try not to rest on them.

  • hahahha all the girls on sword and sandals are hot. that must mean they are blessed by the gods

  • Actually, Reeves was much bulkier and more developed than shown in this film when he was at the height of his bodybuiding career about ten years earlier. The producers made him lose weight for this.
