  • that guitar stand ergonomically is the one

  • Technically a wizard, no escaping that, I've tried to rip some of his licks,(which I and most can't do in regard to sheer speed) but even a committed guitarist for 25 years like me gets bored from endless "look how fast I can play" scales and runs. But I'll always be a fan and give him his due, his influence is at least on par with VanHalen and others, and spawned the neoclassical genre.Yes, the staccato with the pick and classical guitar is just too harsh in this setting, and loses musicality.

  • he must have been really bored in Sweden that he exercised his heart out! :)

  • The thing about Yngwie, and why I stopped listening to him is that he's all flash. Lightning arpeggios and scales only take the music so far, and he lacks in the "feeling" department. If he were a classical trained guitarist, he'd know that using a pick, while great for rock, saps the life out of classical guitar. (he also wouldn't be using an Ovation, but I digress...)There's guitarists out there that can squeeze more feeling and expression out of a single note than he can in an entire song.

  • That's amazing....

  • Did Malmsteen just take a bunch of titles for classical dance movements and forms without bothering to have a clue what any of them were supposed to sound like?

  • I want to buy the whole of the Concerto Suite set but I've never been able to find it anywhere, anyone help with that?

  • @Gibbyginge Try AmazonUk.Com they have a complete selection of Yngwie's Discography. I Hope that helps let me know if it works out.

  • Please Yngwie, we need another Concerto Suite!!

  • All this tells us is that yngwie can't play a classical guitar for shit. Give the instrument some respect and play it with fingures. Yngwie may as well use his stratocaster for this. in fact it'd sound better then the sound of pick hitting nylon string which sounds cack.

  • @icemanisdangerous i think it sounds good it gives it i little flavor. but to each is own

  • i almost like his acoustic guitar playing better than his electric.... almost

  • Anyone got any advice on how I can learn to play like that? I'm actually determined to practice long hours if it is needed. thanks.

  • @jonfender123 learn and practice your scales :D

  • @guitar2012 I hate learning scales, but I do it anyway because of how much it helps me move around the fretboard.

  • @jonfender123 hahah you are stupid.

  • @balebergas why am I stupid? What Did I say?

  • @jonfender123 hjahah nothing.

  • 6/8

  • this is kind of dance-able

  • you lot are perhaps too passionate about music.

  • SEE WHY WE CANT HAVE NICE THINGS?

unplug your keyboards, and enjoy this groovy tune maaan

  • whatever, you stupid shit. i just hope you feel really dumb when you realise just how wrong and stupid you are. And if he's such an idiot, why are you watching his videos? Go to music school for fuck's sake.

  • Go easy on Mr. Malmsteen

he did this concert, due to studio and show constraints, on ZERO rehersal with the orchestra. He showed up and they totally winged it.

I heard this from Eric Rosenthal personally, who plays keys with Billy Joel, and arranged the entire "Concerto" album for Yngwie.

So go easy friend. This was just another jam for him and he was pissed they couldn't prepare more due to time constraints.

He barely got a sound check in on the first night.

    but I hear ya ...

    Joey

  • @joeylodes u r stupid, stop goin making up stories when your high or drunk.

  • you must be very dumb because clearly it is in 3/4 time, and there is a part that uses triplets. Try counting the beats before you go and rip on someone that's probably way better than you. I hope you rot soon.

  • are you deaf? cannot count the accent?

Then use your fucking eyes to LOOK at the conductor count. Stupid fuck.

  • nice

  • god the nylon sounds so great , amazing,

  • i like cavallino rampante best, but this is a close second.

  • i like this piece

a little less intense than the other ones

  • The best of this concerto, really.
