@0TheXBoxRocks0 our weapons shoot a lot faster now, the reason for that number is that the most common tactic when engaging an enemy is to lay down suppression fire and maneuver around the target. The more bullets the more effective the suppression.

I remember colonel taken my radio away from me to make point to all of us and said what are you know? You cant communicate with no one so what are you now? IF i cant get hold of you , your lost. @kajenius Well what is learned very quickly is that the common soldiers, even after training, just never use them properly. They will use them too much, not practics proper radio discipline, then often times they just scream into the microphone, which does nobody any good at all.
The other thing to consider is the problem of battery life. You may only get the chance to charge one ever 4 or 5 days, and there really aren't any battery technologies that provide that kind of run time.
@kajenius mostly office get to carry it. beside walkie talkies has really short range. if you say in the city police has no problem using, becasue in the city has telephone tower to use but for the military radio use it own power to send signal nothing to help. and depend with what they kind of frequency they use, it can get block by high ground or even over shoort the signle. it carpy to be file radio operator over there.

Vietnam was lost because US army was focused more onto urban warfare, like Afghanisthan or Iraq, for there are only rocks, sand, and houses, or their own American soil, which features a lot of urban areas. The British suffered from the same problem against the Japanese in WW2, so they sent their troops to train in India, to learn jungle combat (not guriella warfare, because they are different). US army didn't, so they suffered from ambushes and tunnels into their base to steal US supplies.

In WW2 the rounds spent per kill was about 20,000 to 25,000 rounds; in Vietnam it between 200,000 to 240,000 rounds, I don't know what it is in Iraq? 250,000 to 300,000?

On Moutain double that. I dont know..

If it was an Enemy mortar round there would have been an explosion and would have made a loud noise, plus, the smoke wouldn't creep around in the air and on the ground, it would go straight up and around blowing quite fast. @jak3II Im old school soldier back in the 80's and it seems the soldiers today get alot more training then I did.One of the things drill in my head was the PR 77. I remember colonel taken my radio away from me to make point to all of us and said what are you know? You cant communicate with no one so what are you now? IF i cant get hold of you , your lost. That radio is your life line and your call for fire. What was he doing with out commo gear? you see your unit comming , Im at your 10 O .

@kajenius Well what is learned very quickly is that the common soldiers, even after training, just never use them properly. They will use them too much, not practics proper radio discipline, then often times they just scream into the microphone, which does nobody any good at all.
The other thing to consider is the problem of battery life. You may only get the chance to charge one ever 4 or 5 days, and there really aren't any battery technologies that provide that kind of run time.

@kajenius mostly office get to carry it. beside walkie talkies has really short range. if you say in the city police has no problem using, becasue in the city has telephone tower to use but for the military radio use it own power to send signal nothing to help. and depend with what they kind of frequency they use, it can get block by high ground or even over shoort the signle. it carpy to be file radio operator over there.

Vietnam was lost because US army was focused more onto urban warfare, like Afghanisthan or Iraq, for there are only rocks, sand, and houses, or their own American soil, which features a lot of urban areas. The British suffered from the same problem against the Japanese in WW2, so they sent their troops to train in India, to learn jungle combat (not guriella warfare, because they are different). US army didn't, so they suffered from ambushes and tunnels into their base to steal US supplies.

@theExpFilms I did see eyewitness accounts and you still can't explain why thats stupid. I saw 2 big ass explosions from each tower you idiot. Jet fuel does burn at incredible heat since thats necessary at high altitudes so it makes perfect sence that the fuel would melt the already damaged structure. My facts didn't come from the news. They came from evey single youtube video concerning 9-11 which also included non-media and others. You really are one lost ****** up guy
