I bought the "deluxe" edition in last year's Steam sale. I just assumed it had all the DLC, but it had none of it, only two extra cars and two extra outfits. I didn't bother paying $20 for the two DLC's, which I'm sure added little to a mediocre game. The police were so annoying. Why make me obey the speed limit in a video game?

did you noticed that the mission (when you have to blow up 3 cars in a garage) what 2K Czech presented on the '09 GDC strangely disappeared from the final game? what made me wow, that it's in the Joe's Adventures DLC. that was planned to be Vito's sidemissions. the DLC's are nothing more than cut-out content from the original game.
I love how I torrented Mafia II, it feels great, why should I give the CEO of 2K Games more money when he all ready has a salary hugely more immense than my mother or father? If we can live off 40K a year, why does he need 600K+ a year?
I'd gladly pay for it if it wasn't over priced and if some of the money actually went to the people who put the effort into making this, vastly in superior, sequel.

It was designed with the PC market in mind and it has HUGE amounts of things to do, and they even added online for the PC.

GTAIV was built with Consoles in mind, and look what happened, 10x less things to do, and I don't exaggerate when I say that, there is so much less to do, you don't even get planes...

Yeah i was pretty upset that there was no basic blind-fire or melee weapons like mafia . really dissapointed.
Its still is a great game and the graphics are sweet (on 360) especially because i have a 22 inch gaming moniter (VGA) , the graphics are so much better than when i play it on HD on my 42inch LCD.
Car physics are amazing i think , one of the best things about it. Just let down by the lazyness of the developers, i mean blind fire and melee weapns are in every type of free roam game :(
It's so sad to see all the messed up things... Mafia 2 is a good game, but it could have been epic. i totally felt that there must be a lot of missing missions (etc.) while i played the game for the first time. I'm really interested to see 2Ks next move. Will they release more expensive DLCs with all the missing stuff? I also didn't like the preorder DLCs, they add absolutely nothing to the game (i mean the racing / army clothes and cars).

Ok, NOW 2K Games lost me as a customer. You can now buy the preorder DLCs for 2,50 Dollars each. That means you pay 2,50 for 2 Cars and 2 Clothing sets.....That's fucking bullshit.

Thanks 2k, that I spent 60 bucks fpr the Collectors Edition and have to download 80 % of the game as DLC to get the original one or by unlocking it by myself! Great rip-off btw.
I have a good idea for Mafia 3: Just make a game where I can walk around in the safe house and let me download every mission for 9,99 $ - so you can squeeze even more money out of it. Mafiastyle!

Yeah i was pretty upset that there was no basic blind-fire or melee weapons like mafia . really dissapointed.
Its still is a great game and the graphics are sweet (on 360) especially because i have a 22 inch gaming moniter (VGA) , the graphics are so much better than when i play it on HD on my 42inch LCD.
Car physics are amazing i think , one of the best things about it. Just let down by the lazyness of the developers, i mean blind fire and melee weapns are in every type of free roam game :(

It's so sad to see all the messed up things... Mafia 2 is a good game, but it could have been epic. i totally felt that there must be a lot of missing missions (etc.) while i played the game for the first time. I'm really interested to see 2Ks next move. Will they release more expensive DLCs with all the missing stuff? I also didn't like the preorder DLCs, they add absolutely nothing to the game (i mean the racing / army clothes and cars).
But this video is just fucking hilarious!!

@DiaR1980 i agree with you, this game would have been EPIC if they included blind fire , melee weapons (bats , knuckle dusters etc) also if the included free-ride mode etc. Pretty disapointed 2k have the cheek to make us (360 owners) pay for jimmys vendetta when we should have go the betrayel of jimmy like the ps3 owners. it doesnt make sense.
2K need to do some fucking decent updates including all the above. A great game ruined my lazyness, incompotence and greed. What a shame.

I've enjoyed Mafia 2. Really the story was sucking me in the game but then BAM! Story ends?? I look for Mafia 1 and I see that you can enter subways, busses, streettrolley's?? Ok.... maybe not.. but what about the not-swimming,not shooting from a car, not able to buy more houses, earning money besides the missions and as a main problem: NO FREEDOM ???? 2K: Dude.... buy it, play it, and suck my **** stupid gamer.

Well, I guess, after people looked at the LUA scripts etc. They found out a bunch of stuff taken out of the game, such as side quest, weapons etc.

Well, no not quite, the extra missions were not unlockable, because the files itself weren't their, they just saw the complete scrits for them.
The side missions were released as DLC in Jimmy Vendetta.
As for the melee weapons and somewhat prologue gameplay. IF you google it, "Mafia 2 mods" im sure you can find something.
They also cut out 10 hours of gameplay from the beginning of the game.
