I don't understand how anyone of you can say Galo is a scrub? Don't get me wrong, rookie season, injuries didn't make him look promising at all. But this season, he is a top 3 offensive weapon for the Knicks next to Harrington and Lee. He is a poor man's Dirk Nowitzki but he has better handle and better defensive awareness. More growth and knowledge to his game, he will fit perfectly with the next year signee we get. Knicks just need to keep Galo, Chandler, Nate, Lee, and Harrington.

And, if Italian league basketball is so much better than NCAA, the NBA should be drafting its players from Italy, instead of American colleges. Your point is deceptive. The truth is that there are conferences, of the many, in the NCAA that contain teams just as good, or even better than Euroleague. Euroleague, and national European teams, also benefits from signing NBA talent, not so for the NCAA. The final four NCAA teams could, IMO, beat Euroleague teams.
I don't think that you've ever seen Gallinari to play in a good condition.
About NCAA level it is really good as junior championship but the NCAA teams couldn't compete not only in euroleague where the main teams are really strong but neither in the main national championship like Spain Italy or Grece.
It's true that they have some strong player but the averange of the teams aren't so good.
The NBA team drafted mainly NCAA player because NBA is an us championship and also because some young european prefer to play in Europe and take more money than going in us as rokie..but you say that in the last year more and more european are playng in NBA with good result.
I think that in Europe we see NBA but I don't think that so many people in US really know what euroleague is

The Knicks fans booed him for a reason, because he will likely never be as good as the guys we passed up on: Lopez, Westbrook and others. Playing "amazing," as you put it, in Italy, doesn't make you any good at the NBA level. In Europe, he wasn't playing at the level that Nowitzki, Ginobili or Gasol, played at, so it was just a bad move, in my opinion. Give it time, if you like, but it's pretty obvious to me: someone who's been watching hoops for over 20 years, that he's not an elite NBA talent.
It's obvious to you after 28 games lol- you must be the smartest basketball mind ever if you're able to deduce that he's not an elite nba talent after little playing time in just 28 games in which a 19 year old wasn't even at 100%! I've been watching him for 5 years- he's been succeeding in a league with better talent then college players. He's got a lot of heart and all star talent just give him a chance!
We didn't pass on Westbrook- Westbrook was gone before we could draft him. Lopez is a solid plyer but is not nearly as talented as Gallinary who has tons of upside. He'll be better then Lopez. Knick fans booed him because they don't know him just like they booed Jordan Hill.
Gallinari stinks: no post-up, at 6'10," no speed, no agility or athleticism. This guy demanded NY, he shouldn't have even been in the first round. And upside is based on having some basic skills to show ability to grow on. Gallinari can only shoot threes. Lopez is a big man with three point range, a drop step, hook shot, turn-around jumper, can pass, rebound and block shots. This is a rare skill set. He will be great, Gallinari will be a benchwarmer.
Gallinari is not a post up player he has a similar skill set to a Turkoglu and he has played a lot of point forward. He can handle pass and shoot the lights out and is very clutch. A 6'10 guy with his skill set is valuable- if he stays healthy. Time will tell and later on I might be proven wrong who knows- my point was two fold- one Gallinari doesn't stink and two give him a chance. I think it's tougher for a 19 year old to play in the Euroleague because of the stronger older pros there.

I was PISSED when they drafted him, but now, after I've seen him play, I'm happy with the Knicks' decision. He's good, not great like a lot of people under me commented, but he has a chance to be a superb player in the NBA as long as he works hard and stays healthy.

And, if Italian league basketball is so much better than NCAA, the NBA should be drafting its players from Italy, instead of American colleges. Your point is deceptive. The truth is that there are conferences, of the many, in the NCAA that contain teams just as good, or even better than Euroleague. Euroleague, and national European teams, also benefits from signing NBA talent, not so for the NCAA. The final four NCAA teams could, IMO, beat Euroleague teams.

I don't think that you've ever seen Gallinari to play in a good condition.
About NCAA level it is really good as junior championship but the NCAA teams couldn't compete not only in euroleague where the main teams are really strong but neither in the main national championship like Spain Italy or Grece.
It's true that they have some strong player but the averange of the teams aren't so good.

The NBA team drafted mainly NCAA player because NBA is an us championship and also because some young european prefer to play in Europe and take more money than going in us as rokie..but you say that in the last year more and more european are playng in NBA with good result.
I think that in Europe we see NBA but I don't think that so many people in US really know what euroleague is

that's bullshit... nba teams don't draft from italy (nor spain, greece, etc..) because those teams are made of vets, not 18 years old college students. No final four NCAA team would beat a final four Euroleague team, not even in your dreams. This just demonstrates how little you know about european basketball

The Knicks fans booed him for a reason, because he will likely never be as good as the guys we passed up on: Lopez, Westbrook and others. Playing "amazing," as you put it, in Italy, doesn't make you any good at the NBA level. In Europe, he wasn't playing at the level that Nowitzki, Ginobili or Gasol, played at, so it was just a bad move, in my opinion. Give it time, if you like, but it's pretty obvious to me: someone who's been watching hoops for over 20 years, that he's not an elite NBA talent.

It's obvious to you after 28 games lol- you must be the smartest basketball mind ever if you're able to deduce that he's not an elite nba talent after little playing time in just 28 games in which a 19 year old wasn't even at 100%! I've been watching him for 5 years- he's been succeeding in a league with better talent then college players. He's got a lot of heart and all star talent just give him a chance!

We didn't pass on Westbrook- Westbrook was gone before we could draft him. Lopez is a solid plyer but is not nearly as talented as Gallinary who has tons of upside. He'll be better then Lopez. Knick fans booed him because they don't know him just like they booed Jordan Hill.

Gallinari stinks: no post-up, at 6'10," no speed, no agility or athleticism. This guy demanded NY, he shouldn't have even been in the first round. And upside is based on having some basic skills to show ability to grow on. Gallinari can only shoot threes. Lopez is a big man with three point range, a drop step, hook shot, turn-around jumper, can pass, rebound and block shots. This is a rare skill set. He will be great, Gallinari will be a benchwarmer.

Gallinari is not a post up player he has a similar skill set to a Turkoglu and he has played a lot of point forward. He can handle pass and shoot the lights out and is very clutch. A 6'10 guy with his skill set is valuable- if he stays healthy. Time will tell and later on I might be proven wrong who knows- my point was two fold- one Gallinari doesn't stink and two give him a chance. I think it's tougher for a 19 year old to play in the Euroleague because of the stronger older pros there.

As u can see NBA is not the real deal..Euroleague is where all amazing happens.Yes NBA has the most powerfull players BUT they all take doping and i dont know what else they take cause its free there..European dont take a sh!t,cause everything here is under controll and its ILLEGAL.. In Europe we play basket with tacticks and with "head"..In NBA its all about show, personally i dont like that kind of game..

The New York Knickerbockers fans got to stop boing at this guy. No one got to see him play so they don't know that well. I heard that this guy was extremely good. This was actually a good choice. Remember when Dirk Nowitzki got traded to the Dallas Mavericks from the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1998 NBA Draft. I bet mavericks fans weren't happy about getting a guy from another country who even seen play. and look at Dirk in the NBA today.
