they are levels of the game Chief is the village midget who gives you the first quests, hard i believe is the cat in the village and the first 2 guild ladies in the gathering hall, G-rank is the last guild lady who gives the insanely hard monsters, ATP is ATtack Power,or the attack listed in the status screen. and about the levels, the monsters basically are the same they just have more life and do more damage the higher in level you get

Chief, hard and G-rank are all different difficulty levels of quests and ATP I believe means attack Power.

Yeh, When he does the side tackle, You can be on the opposite side of the attack and you'll still be hit.

everytime i charge from his leg once he spit whater i still get hitted by his side atk coz his head or the leg get me .. sometime i get hit by it even if im over his head O.o .. i think the tail give that hit but im not sure XD .. well i can't save myself from those atks .. im gonna get a sns or a lance =)

Thunder or Fire, both -4.. If you want to know whats the weakness of a specific monster, check its armor.. If you look at plesioth armor it will have -4 on fire en thunder, 'It's weakneses'

I find the hip check easy to dodge if you double roll. Oh and I find playing with friends, It's better to hit the legs so everyone gets a hit.

Plesioth wouldn't be nearly as bad if Capcom got off their asses and fixed his hit detection. Gravios, Diablos, and Monoblos are all bigger than Plessy, and all have hipchecks, but they don't have bullshit gravity powers, so they can obviously program a hitbox, but for some reason, even with all the improvements in Unite, they didn't fix this fucker!

Thankfully though, he won't be in Tri.

lol, i remember the fast guard existed just now.....lol, just fought one, and main problem was time lol, killed 3 reg plesioths and had a brain fart finding this one in the jungle.

body check sucks, but they quick guard is gonna make it turbo cake. considering all i have's just a regular ass khezu shock blade, i don't see probs with this n_n

ARRRG, if I charge on the left, he tail swipes me, if I charge on the right, he hip checks me. I tried to practice on 3* village quest (I'm trying to do G rank without a bow) and I'm still getting owned unless I do short swipes. But that won't help me with the G ranks, since they kill in 1 or 2 hits.

well i dont blame you, it is a abit hard, and also, you are not meant to hit the legs, that is why it didnt flinch. It has to be the tummy or the neck which is the weakspot, just like tigrex, hitting the head.

i had same problem, what i did is have the Fanatic dragonwood LS to paralyse it, or true devil slicer. then have 3 potential shock traps to have to open for attacks. works like a charm :D
