totally agree with you there bobtheduck. for some reason the facial detail was superb. 2 was good to, but heather and them looked so real! and the scenary. also the movement in 3 was so smooth i loved it. i loved 4 to, unfortunately i feel like the only one sometimes lol. but they were close but the body and movements werent the best. still them two looked a lot more realistic than this one. maybe if we're patient the final product will be mind blowing i hope!

SH3 was just about the best looking thing put out last gen. SH4 didn't quite match up, and while in many ways it looks "better" in terms of environments and environmental effects, this isn't quite the powerhouse I came to expect from Silent Hill graphically... What's more important, however, is that it's an emotional powerhouse. The team swears they are basing these on SH2 in terms of story and feeling. I hope they pull it off. Origins is sort of bland compared to the others.
