my good mate ronnie works for microsoft studios. hes 32,he said halo 3 odst wasnt supposed to come out until halo recon, they destroyed the recon trailer, our halo story isnt with master cheif anymore,microsoft screwed up and didnt admit it ,

well wat happen is that he didnt explode he went to a planet and the sun was peeking through from the other side of the planet. wasnt an explosion. oh and xbox2498 and zipey505 the endings r slightly different but the outcome is the same its just that on legendary u see where John and Cortanna goes

holy did you even watch the video at the end of the credits? the cheif stays in the hanger and the arbiter drives, then the big flash. then it shows the memorial scene. after the credits. it shows the cheif telling cortana (still in the ship) to "wake me when you need me" and he went to sleep. it becomes apparent that the front half of the ship with the arbiter in it went through the teleporter, but it closed before the cheif's half could get through. so now hes in space waiting to be found

ok at the end they jumpp the warthog in and arbitor or however u spell it goes to the front half and drives while cortana and mc stay at the back half. while arbitor is going thro the time warp/portal it closes so arbitors half is throught and spartans isnt so he went into cryo sleep while he waited to be rescued

no.halo wars's timeline takes place before the events of halo combat evolved.their are spartans in halo wars though,but they arent masterchief.
