I mean that you could put a MAAT and a LAAT gunship behind the other ships.
And the Rogue Shadow could be like a hero, so when you get unlock it you could either get out in space and transform to it, like in Renegade Squadron, or when you press the button to play as it you get directly out to space.
(theese are just some ideas form a person who don't know how to make a mod)
Unfortunately, not only would that imbalance the game for one team, Battlefront II (unlike Renegade Squadron) doesn't support space heroes in such an elegant fashion.
But would it not be possible to do maybe just one map that has better ships (MAAT-gunship and the rogue shadow) but to balance it out, change the sides reinforcement counts to make it fairer? COmplicated and possibly no fun in know, but still.
That's still not a hero vehicle, and it frankly doesn't matter whether I have "hero vehicles" or not; I don't feel like modeling that starship. Get over it.
That's actually a seat set up in the vehicle - if you really want to record video well on a map, you can do a lot of things with "animating" your camera, but it requires some modding work beforehand.
Fighter classes are more or less balanced against each other. Z-95s are the "weakest" fighter on the map, but they also carry warheads, which Imperial fighters do not, and they're also faster than the Rebel fighters.
Can't do hero vehicles indeed....

-Sentinel looks better
-Poor modeling reference pictures of MA-AT

-not standard starship
-no real place for "hero" vessels in standard space modes

Heeeey, wait a minute! Why can't you have the rogue shadow as a hero?
You can use the Millenium Falcon in Space Endor if you shoot down enough Fighters!
