And as a suggestion if you dont want the punch to stay in place. Buy a bottle of red loctite and put that on the theds and then thred it in and let is sit over night. I should hold it in place.
WOW you come up with some really odd ideas and some wierd ways of doing stuff. And yet i find myself trying everything u make. And that coming from a fellow tinkerer. A HUGE THUMBS UP FOR SHAN.
Sweet.. Will be picking up one tomorrow for sure.. I currently have bench vice, and I put a gap of 1/4" between the sides, and lay my catro length wise on it, and use a nail/hammer. It works pretty good because it keeps it pretty steady, but this looks sooo much easier...
Lowes has 2 the one u have and one in the gas line section it has nuts on the bolts not the threaded strap and i think it last longer imo good vid tho
@Keefer2112 GTK :) I'll sharpen it with my dremel, replace the tip, or just buy a new one if it's beyond that point, but I have ideas to change out the tapping tip with something longer lasting [steel or carbide]... the website does say this is only stainless/chrome plated brass, which would explain why it gets dull after some use.

@34iamtopher I'm going to buy parts and try to make my own, see if I can't get something more solid vs the brass. TY Topher

@cr33pcity I punched 3 holes in this video, hehehe, isn't that using it? or you mean in detail? that would be my last video I mention in this one.

This is WAY GREAT! Cept I have been using these saddle valves for months to punch my cartos and they DO get dull and unusable after a while.
