who would've thought a classic rock n'roll song like "desire" would fit this good into zoo tv concept.. but they did it - perfectly.. I said it before n' I'll say it again - this is U2 at their creative peak.. don't want to take away from their current tour [cause I think it's good, I've been to 2 shows] but nothing they do will ever come close to zoo-tv.. it was just THAT GOOD.
I was at both shows in Vancouver BC in '92, sat in the 4th row in front of Adam Clayton. They also tossed us vote baby buttons. I was bending down to pick up some and then some more landed on my back and I felt all these hands on my back picking them off lol I have the buttons still too.
Excellent!! U2 at their very best. Zoo Tv by far the best tour! For all of you saying is he drunk? No it's just his ego character of a travelling preacher that he did, check out Zoo TV new dvd, great version of this from New York. Anybody know why they didn't do Desire on the rest of the tour as in Sydney??
yeah it's because earlier in 93 the whole Zooropa stuff I think blured it out of the set list. always have liked Desire!!! that mcphisto shit that bono does didn't do much for them anyway's that's my take
Edge missed his cue for the solo which sent them off track for a while, hence Bono's "ya,ya,ya"'s that gave them time to re-group... Great track, though.
Even when they mess up its magic

zootv was so far ahead of its time its unreal. It pre-empted the onset of globalisation and technological ubiquity by about 15 years.
Without doubt the best era of the band, bettered by no-one else.

Back in the 1990's, nothing, not Guns N' Roses, not Nirvana, was bigger than ZOO TV.
