Notice the pressure valve on the Pasquini was not even close to .9 or 1 bar which leads me to believe the pressure gauge was busted and possibly not set properly.
@SeattleCoffeeGear Notice the gauge at 4:46 into the video and keep an eye on it while the shot is being pulled. It never reaches .9 bar. In fact, it did not seem to move at all.
Love the videos though, keep them coming - I like the feature in the Musica keeping the head cool with water.
@Acein8ter We spent a lot of time dialing in both machines; on the Livia, we found that a longer pull was too bitter, and 20 seconds was just about right. The shot was good, just not super rich. - Kat
@HomeDistiller Thank you, I think?? We try to have fun so hopefully that comes across :) I was just telling folks at the NW Coffee Festival about your crazy scale video, btw - Kat
I don't really understand the benefit of programmable water volume...how difficult is it to press a button to stop water flow or move the glass out of the stream?
@Jimmi232232 People like to walk away, I guess? I am not big on it myself, but there are lots of folks that have it on their must-have list way near the top so I have to assume it's a benefit to someone...? :) - Kat
@Jimmi232232 I believe the benefit is if you are steaming at the same time. It allows you to keep both hands on the pitcher and not have to worry about stopping the water flow. Imagine doing this repeatedly and you will see the benefit.
Does the Musica have the same brew head of the Aurelia?

@DoberFrann No; it has the same as the Appia models - Kat

@thejmmonzon Nothing's wrong with the machine, it performs well and pulls good shots, just not as flavor rich as what is off the Musica. - Kat

Nice review... If the grind was finer for the Livia which achieved a 30" pull, it may taste a bit different. Yes?

No need for any flushing with these HXs?
vyapada 8 months ago
@vyapada We had to flush on the Livia 90, not the Musica. - Kat

Gosh, I would love to own a Musica... It looks so stylish!
Thanks for the very good video again :)
And I thought the underlining note in the shot you pulled on the Musica might be a hint of coffee? Not sure though I haven't tried it :D

@SpiritedViper Hahahaha -- yes, there was a very, very minor flavor of coffee in there with all the jam ;) - Kat
