Egypt and Syria began a good offensive in 73 and were both pushed back, both lose more men and equipment than Israel. That is a unilateral defeat. The only reason Egypt got Sinai back was because they recognized Israel and declare peace, if they hadn't the Sinai would still be in the hands of Israel.
