@amboz224 It is man its on the with the lights out C.D this is the first version of the son and it was later changed i think this version is better though
Ok, it took me forever to find any good tab for this song, so if you want help, im here.
To play this song- strum down 2 times on an A chord, and down, up, down, up on a C chord then 2 times down on an E chord (but Eminor sounds cool) and down, up, down, up on a G chord. Up to you whether you use power chords. I think it sounds a bit better with full chords. BUT ITS UP TO U! RIP KURT! WE LOVE YOU!
@iDavidBee :D Aww, I would, but now your to sweet. :P but if you really want it HERE IT IS YOUR FUCKER! DONT DISCRIMINATE KURT COBAIN COZ I'LL FUCKING GET YOU! :D ROCK ON!
@iDavidBee Ugghhhh, seriosuly. And please dont use the term "LOL" with anything in regard with Kurt Cobain. It isn't apropreate in this context. :) .... U must be confused....
@steeltoto That's the most stupid thing I've ever heard. Your acting like i don't like Nirvana or Kurt Cobain? I am probably a bigger fan of them then you. So stop acting like your some kind of expert.
@iDavidBee Wow, thats nice. Anyway, I'm sorry for being such a bitch. I just wanna get over this argument now. It was all my fault. I tend to do this...... Im very sorry for annoying you.
Kurt embodies the natural human instinct to evolve and fight conformity. He chose to create HIS sound and that is what is fascinating. The idea of something purely self-made in a society that is overly structured and industrialized we tend to become mechanized. Nirvana is what makes us believe in alternative. Freedom come as you are.
I wonder why Kurt Cobain has such an affect on people. I used to think people who admired Presley the way they do, were idiots, and I thought I would never admire anyone I had never met in that way. And here I am, being fascinated by Cobain. I think it boils down to his music. It was just different, it was surprising, yet made perfect sense as soon as he struck the next chord. Like a progression of surprise, typically looped into something that had perpetual energy.
there will most likely never be another person like kurt cobain. when people think of kurt, they think of the awesome rock star that had great songs. what most do not see is the guy that he really was. he was just like everyone else, he was just more "in tune" with the world. he had something to sing about. i (along with millions) wanted to hang with this guy. his music is fuckin awesome
i love this version. much better than the lp version everyone knows. i love the difference in the lyrics in almost every stanza. i love his emotion, and as a guitar player i love the difference in the riff. if you listen closely it's not the same every time he plays it like the album. he makes this song so much better... and now.. he isn't here to finish it! WTF?? i wanted this on an actual album, recorded, and refined!
@ewd31989 who are you talking to? kurt's been dead for 16 years. this is him, it's not a "take," it's the effing song. i don't listen to the acoustic version of lithium with a friend and look at him and say... i like your take on this... ???
nirvana is the biggest influence on my band Stories Never Told...if anyone is interested we have a song posted on my page and we'd be grateful for anyone to come tell us what they think...thank you
And never once I said Fall Fall into his nest Oh Wake me Make me do it again Save me Save me young friend Soon I have found recourse Hey On my life and more Say I'm not alike anymore Hey I'm not a country horse
Here are the lyrics people "Check, check, check, check, check..." Rape me Rape me and then Father just take me Rape me again Son As soon as my embarrassment's my gone Free I'm not a lonely one See Must mean I meant to you Free He was a nasty guest
@thee1andonlyme he didint kill his self u cant be so sure of that and even if he did recpect his decision no one lives forever better to pick your time then to stay around and burn out
@KingGingerbread5O: Kurt was actually honest about the anger and pain he felt unlike a lot of people who bottle it up (we all feel it, admit). That doesn't mean he was depressed.
NO NO NO!!! the meaning of the song rape me is if someone rapes someone they are going to eventually get caught, go to prison and get raped in there so yeah your going to get what you want so go ahead and rape me cause your going to get yours. that is what kurt meant but this song
well i heard him explain it in himself in an interview and in micheal azzerands come as you says so too =) im not saying your wrong cause the song can mean whatever you want it to mean, but that is what he means by the song so do your research and if you got proof thats what he means then prove me wrong sir-

actually lilc2012 it wasnt lol... it was about watever kurt said in an interview the media would twist his words to mean something else... hence the line '' our favourite inside sorce''
shadygrove- Kurt's voice sounded a bit higher/had a different timbre in these home made recordings. It is him, though. I find these recordings to be the most emotional ones he did. Amazing stuff. You feel like you're there with him and he's singing to you (I wish!).
@LilC2012 This song is about how everyone was fucking him over in the media. Even then, we never know what the hell kurt is talking about because the meaning is in his tone and music.

Man I love this lyrics alot more in this version. I love the other one ofcourse but I think these are a lot more clear of the point he's trying to get across
both versions are haunting, it's amazing to see how it developed from brutal soft, to screaming loud! and the lyrics change is interesting. especially the verses, and chorus area! Nirvana fan since age 10 (April 5th, 1994)the day Cobain died, but his music lived on forever and always will.

both versions are haunting, it's amazing to see how it developed from brutal soft, to screaming loud! and the lyrics change is interesting. especially the verses, and chorus area! Nirvana fan since age 10 (April 5th, 1994)the day Cobain died, but his music lived on forever and always will.
