I was thinking about going back to SWG. On your advice I did some research to "update my opinion"

Go to google, search for "SWG server population"

The very top link that you get has some interesting information. It speaks volumes.

My updated opinion goes something like this.

NGE killed it. SoE did nothing to consiliate with its customers and lived in some wierd state on denial throughout.

RIP SWG

I would rather remember it the way it was 'in the good old days'

Just so you know, I've become bored of the game myself and finally quit, so this doesn't matter a whole lot to me...but you just updated your opinion with an unverified and most likely false article written over two years ago by some bitter ex-player just looking to kick up mud. It's hardly a reliable indicator as to whether or not you'd actually have fun in the game in its current form if you tried it.

well i must say, both of the updates killed it.. the thing that made that game fun was customization and the complexity of it. but now its point and click and a progressive level system with no customization but gear... i mean from 33 different classes with 18 skill spots in each one... to 8 classes... with no choice in skills.. its retarded, the new play style seems like a shitty free online mmo atleast space is the same.. but still.. i could go on forever.. about how much the updates killed it

... when NGE hit the streets they shoved it down our throats and told anyone that complained they were in the minority.

People left by the 1000's. I guess they have to be responsive to the remaining 57 customers.

This film was well made and entertaining.

The members of TSS do not work directly for SOE, but this piece was requested by them with our acceptance. Since it was for use in one of their own meetings and was subject to their approval beforehand, naturally, we were expected to focus on positives.

And yes, the game has changed much since you left. Good or bad, you may wish to update your opinion before sharing it ;-).

Thanks for the reply. I was curious to see if SOE had improved its customer relations.

I miss this game more and more as time goes by. But I do not miss it enough to give SOE any more of my money.

NGE left alot of bitter customers in its wake and I guess I am one of them.

I love your movies though, and will be back often to watch em. I'll get my SWG fix through you :)

its the most freely expressing online game you can play, you can choose empire,rebel,or neutral,you can craft (very very easy prosses)you can choose the way you look,your combat proffesion your speciec go where ever you please (sometimes) basicly its the best mmorpg i have ever experienced, till nge that is but anyways, it should be a pretty cool game to you
