This bodybuilder is so tall, handsome and his muscular body so nice. I admire his wide shoulders and vascular huge biceps
I saw a very disturbing video show with him boxing for real a black guy; he received big punishment, was bloodied and could barely stand on his feet.
I felt really sorry and hurt for this muscle giant!! He seems to be a nice guy
I met this guy in 1996 when he came to the gym I went to in Cincinnati. He was very warm & friendly & took the time to talk with me. He really seems like a good guy and I wish him the best.
@YvanJules Jules, achim did do a stint in the WWE (then WWF) but that was only for a year in 1996. He has a few matches and the creative team at the time didnt know how to bill him and he wasnt that good at moving in the ring so he was let go. I dont know where alchim went after this, probably personal training
He had the bone structure but didn't have good genetics as far as tie-ins or round muscle bellies. Also he was not bone-dry the way Dorian was famous for.
I remember buying Weider's MegaMass2000 when I was like 17 or 18. It came with a free VHS tape. I still remember to this day, a scene with Achim doing stiff legged deadlifts. That image encourages me now... since I've gotten back into bodybuilding. He was definitely one of the greats! I do miss the guys from back then. The guys nowadays just don't seem the same.
i'm pretty sure the reason why he never did too well was because his arms were really small compared to the rest of his body. arms are like the backbone of your physique
Achim is now training as a powerlifter at Diablo Barbell in Concord, Ca. Despite having 2 messed up shoulders, he is still huge as hell and is quite strong.
I don't think he ever received the credit he deserved in the IFBB. He never placed in the top 5 of the Olympia--probably because his physique was more "blocky" looking than symmetrically "round." I saw him in person in October 1995 as a guest poser at a show in MN. He was phenomenal--the crowd was on their feet screaming his routine was so good. I wish he'd of placed better at major shows in the IFBB.
Actually, it's because he lacked the wrestling talent required to succeed. While he IS quite strong physically, you need more then strength to win in Wrestling.
german bodybuilders rule. the first bodybuilder Friedrich Müller alias Eugene Sandow was german/Prussian too

You're right... he would talk about how he didn't have the genetics but how he worked his ass off and how eventually he made it to where he got.

Why didnt he make it in the WWF? I recall he wrestled a few WWF TV matches as a babyface named Brakkus
mcdermott07 5 years ago
He also worked as a heel in ECW... named Brakkus. In fact, a match he had with Taz in ECW is somewhere on YouTube.
SeanStrife 4 years ago
He "didn't make it" in the wwf/e because he was too strong for those lame pussy wrestlers! BRAKKUUUS!!!

But lacking the key ingrediant, charisma. He's pretty much a characterture of Arnold.
