There is really no need to bash another culture because their ways are different. Not everyone in this world believes the same things or acts in the same ways. No one says you need to like things like this but at least respect them as someone else's views of the world.

I have to agree; I think in some cases, mainly minor illnesses, even it is a placebo effect then this can still be beneficial as the recipient will believe they are being helped/healed and will improve. However for ailments such as cancer, etc I think western medicine needs to work in hand with this sort of treatment.

@316124 First of all, egg shamanism has thousands of years of practice backing it up, it is not just "the thoughts of some guy in a cave 200 years ago." Also, I never said modern medicine is invalid, or that "all opinions are as valid as each other." You assumed that's what I meant because you can only think in binary, either/or, black or white. That's typical amongst people who never explore their own cultural biases, as is every other form of fundamentalism.
