  • stupid intel

i use amd couse of this

  • The only thing this did was make macs windows-compatible! :D

Also, they have better processors.(DURR LOL)

    Yep. I'm trollin'.

I like both platforms, so you fanboys can stick it up your big growdy asses! :D

  • Better Version: z0r (dot) de/3558

  • Comment removed

  • macs can render and do music stuff i can do that too on my PC! i can play games and by that i mean MW3, skyrim, BF3 and not chess!

  • With exceptions to businesses or whatever.

  • Buying a prebuilt tower computer by ANY brand is one of the most stupid things to do.

  • what was that? Dull things? Sorry I cant hear you over playing all the latest games at max settings!

  • PC>mac

  • apple stole this whole thing from "The Postal Service - Such Great Heights" and it was produced by the same people who made the music video "Josh & Xander" 0:03 where the robot pulls out the chip is almost exactly the same shot. Thumbs this up if you have a brain, and thumbs down this video

  • Yes ... YES ! Know I can play Angry Birds with the power of Intel!

  • Loool, dull boxes hahahahhahaa

  • Dull boxes > Over-priced, overrated pieces of hardware

  • The switch to Intel was the WORST idea, the BIGGEST mistake Apple did throughout its history.

  • dull things? Battlefield 3 isn't dull.

  • Lawl. "Intel chips are set free in a Mac", Some statement when OSX is the most locked down and incompatible OS out there. Even my Ubuntu box can do fucking everything and also run 80% of all Windows programs, even some that Windows itself can't run. And you can get hardware that will eat OSX and Windows for the same price. And it don't get virus.

  • Is that Kiefer Sutherland?

  • @TheAdUd Lol, it does sound like it could be him XD!

  • PC burrrrrrrrn,,,

  • BAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHA!

  • And wtf if ya'll dont like Macs then the heck are you watching Mac video's? 0.o

  • your pc's probably would probably be barely coming out considering the fact that Steve Jobs was the first person to make personal computer's

  • @uknowidontno044 Lol, Steve Jobs was NOT the first person to make a personal computer.

  • My Intel chips are lucky. They get to live life inside a Mac.

  • my pc is better then a mac bla bla bla...

We don't care why do you come to this vid anyway? :)

i'm gonna watch porn now :)

  • wtf?? is that how they work???

  • 78 Leute können sich keinen Mac Leisten :)

  • Apple can be annoyingly too up themselves ometimes.

  • @nanofuture87 well macs were truly difrent than pcs until 2006 because their power pc processor I'm not saying its not even close to a pc but they are now :P

  • My processor does 3 times as much (with 4 times the power of a mac) as any mac. Come on apple. Get your facts right, the people who will watch this know that all processors DO things, and sometimes "fill up" and can go no farther. My mac ran out at 1GHZ. My PC has at least 3 times that, and i know i have more.

  • It's just a matter of which OS you like. People buy mac cause they like osx and people buy windows because they like windows. Nothing about the hardaware, just your OS preference.

  • @deeindeein Yeah,money has nothing to do here,right? xD

  • @TheDinoCity Of course cost is a factor....in buying. Your PREFERENCE is based on opinion. When you actually BUY your computer, cost becomes factor. There are people who would prefer a mac, but buy a pc because they don't have the money. Doesn't mean they don't still like macs better.

  • i7 2600k 4.7ghz + crossfire amd 6750 + ultimate 64 bits + SDD is much better and cheap

  • Hypocrisy's a Bitch, Ain't It?

  • little tasks??? i almost banged my intel 2500K

  • IMO - A Mac is now just a PC. The components should now be less of a clasification and the OS should be the Identifier.

  • with or without intel chip, Mac is still the same overpriced toy for crippled showoffs

  • this advert really pisses me off

  • @Horia747 - I agree - its like saying "brains are no longer owned by retards but by artists as well"

  • Imagine the Limitations...

  • The pc owners are hating on macs and sucking up to pc's because THEY. ARE. JEALOUS. that they can't afford a Mac. I bet if u gave $5000 to a pc owner and said "go wild. Get yourself a new computer." they would go straight to an Apple store and buy a Mac.

  • @LucyPinder7 I bet you're a fucking idiot.

If you handed $5,000 to a PC owner they would build a computer with 2 ASUS GTX 580 Mars IIs, a 1,500w Power Supply, 24 GBs of RAM, an i7 990X, and would do a custom water cooling loop for their computer.

Oh, and why would I be jealous of a brand who's highest end computer costs more and has lower specs than my current one? Hm?

  • @IAmSomeoneOrOther The problem is, most consumers have absolutely no knowledge of building their own computers; its only that are really into that. Therefore, they just buy what works the best, and that is different for everyone. Mac or Windows, it doesn't matter.

Also, why are you arguing about this? Everyone is different, so they need different operating systems to suit their needs. I wouldn't like it if someone who didn't even know me cursed at me for liking a particular brand...

  • @jelliidoonut "Everyone is different, so they need different operating systems to meet their needs"

That implies OS X only works on Apple computers.

"I wouldn't like it if someone who didn't even know me cursed at me for liking a particular brand..."

I take it you didn't think that statement through.

  • @IAmSomeoneOrOther water cooling? christ i bet you get ALL the girls dont you!

  • @LucyPinder7 nah, if they wanted mac OS they could just make a really high end hackintosh retard...... if I had $5000 I'd build a beats of a machine with eyefinity monitors, I would absolutely own any mac around....... well thinking of it I already do own any mac around with my current PC.

  • @LucyPinder7 Hahah, If I was given $5000 I would buy TWO computers with all the latest hardware. Not one shitty over-rated thing. Shame that you have been brainwashed by apple

  • So funny becuse Apple have always mocked Intel, remember the Intel snail ad?

  • @malosovich @ canthony1019 This argument has happened a thousand times before and this one has just degenerated into name-calling. Mac and PC are the same damn machine. Some features are different, but they are both computers. I have a mac and a PC from the same time-period and I use them both equally. This sort of flame war will get you nowhere.

  • @RileyInTheBox Well I'm new to it and now I'm aware that this is nothing more than a 'fanboy debate' I'll now bow out. I've no interest in the selling points of either. I want the machine that requires the least effort to remain reliable. If Aldi released a reliable machine, I'd buy that to go with my Aldi TV.

  • moon !!

  • I like how people still think it's the 90s and Macs are better at one thing while PCs are better at another. That argument died over a decade ago. First off, it's what your operating system allows you to run. Last I checked, they run pretty much the same software. You can still get better hardware for the PC simply because you can upgrade it without waiting around for Apple's refresh cycle.

  • i actually love this commercial

  • 0:15

EMO - on the right hand side.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Macs are just a brand of PC. Saying Macs are better than PCs is like saying strawberries are better than fruit.

  • @Nanofuture87 Macs have better hardware than most pcs which makes them BETTER

  • @bart2daman Again, macs are just a brand of personal computer. Macs are PCs.

  • @Nanofuture87 ok the mac brand has better hardware than most pcs

  • @bart2daman Not for the same price. The hardware and specs you can get on a PC blow the Mac's out of the water for the exact same price.

  • @bart2daman Are you a complete dumbass? Mac's highest end computers have far lower specs than even PC's medium level computers. Fanboy-ism aside, PC's have the most powerful specs period. Mac's are meant for people who don't to do anything beyond search the internet and random other things that are lower level computing. Why do you think they are marketed the way they are?

  • @thexxehanort Yeah i can do a lot more with my mac then browse the internet

And do medium level pc's have 12 core processors

  • @Nanofuture87 Except Mac doesn't have shitdows

  • @coffeeandsugar20 That usually has more to do with the operating system than the hardware. I can assure you that macs do crash. I've seen it happen.

    <------ Owned a Mac for 4 years.

  • @Nanofuture87 Yes I know that. I'm saying Mac OS X is written better than Windows, so it doesn't happen as often.

  • @coffeeandsugar20 I would agree with that statement. The problem I have is that some people have the idea that Macs are somehow fundamentally different from other PCs, when they are not. In case you are curious by the way, I'm a Linux user.

  • @Nanofuture87 I use OpenSUSE, Xubuntu and OS X. Fundamentally different... yeeeeeah I would agree. A lot harder to work inside, and no BIOS just EFI.

  • @coffeeandsugar20 I'm talking about the hardware, not the software or firmware. Yes, I know that there ARE differences but the point is that in the end the hardware in a mac does the same thing as the hardware in any other PC, with the differences seen by the typical user being almost entirely due to the operating system, which Apple has seen fit to legally bind to their own hardware.

  • @Nanofuture87 right. Saying macs are better than windows, however, is like saying that apples are better than oranges.

  • @almann1117 If you mean OSX is better than Windows, then yes those are two distinct things. However, Linux is better than both for most uses, with Windows and OSX only having niche areas where they are useful.

  • How could you provide the voice for this commercial, Jack Bauer? How could you blaspheme the PC?

  • Poor Intel chip, will be trapped in a bitten, rotting apple...

  • This PC vs Mac thing...so childish, reminds me of Nintendo vs Sega back in the day.

  • thumbs up if you saw the EMO sign

  • that poor chip =(

  • jesus, apple/mac is full of itself

  • Reminds me of that Postal Service song... I'm SUUUUUUURE that was intentional.

  • You argue pc's are better in the business world. This commercial beautifully displays that concept; where your spread sheets and documents are displayed as "dull little tasks," because they are. Think about what Transformers 3 would look like if it wasn't for the Mac. ^_^

  • Comment removed

  • Watching this on a Intel Dual Core on Linux :-D

  • IT'S JACK BAUER'S VOICE!!!!!!

  • I remember WAY back in the day when all Apple did was bitch about how terrible Intel was.

  • 蘋果公司真的是後知後覺,以前說 Intel 處理器太差,現在又轉至 Intel 平台。

  • Intel is for secretaries to be able to multitask between Facebook and Microsoft Office anyways.

    AMD FTW!!!

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ... !

  • Rip off of "Such Great Heights". Shame on apple.

  • @NJpanther05 if you talking about the song used in the commercial, it is by Moby. Its not a rip off of the postal service. Moby released that song before the Postal Service existed...

  • Aaaand that's when Apple fell apart, once their scam could be seen through.

  • This video is racist...

  • Uhh... they both suck.

  • rip off of such great heights from the Postal service

  • @NJpanther05 not a ripoff, made by the same people...though TPS were very upset with this.

  • I'd say macs used to be better, but ever since x86 has caught up with the PowerPC architecture, and Apple consequently switched to Intel, the hardware isn't all that different. Apple does still charge you more than other manufacturers do, but that doesn't mean a mac is bad value. You get LED backlighting, in-plane switching displays, built-in microphones, and webcams, backlit keyboards, bluetooth, and so many other things that other computers don't always have.

  • @mynith I got the same shit on my HP laptop for far less. In fact, my Hp has a touchscreen, which is useful when you don't have a mouse.

  • @HaloSpartanG13 Fair enough. Apple does charge a premium, but I will stand by my point: not as much as you might think. By the way, I'm fairly confident that HP's laptop displays don't use in plane switching as standard. I read somewhere that's a 550$ option, and it probably doesn't have firewire either, or thunderbolt. Not that you need them, but I'm just saying you get more for your money than some haters would have you believe. Anyway, as long as you buy a computer that makes you happy, good.

  • @mynith "Haters" is a immature term used by 10 yr olds when someone disagrees with them.

FireWire is dead, and Thunderbolt is never used.

That's like saying "HP SUX CUZ IT DOESNT HAVE ADC" back in 2002-2003. Except ADC is a locked apple standard 4 people used, all working at apple.

  • I don't like being compared to small children. And neither do I like touchscreens. I say to each his own and if your computer was cheaper then good for you. However, I use my computer almost eight hours per day and, even if the performance isn't on par with similarly priced competitors, I find the user experience more enjoyable. And don't forget: Everything is only worth what one is willing to pay for it.

  • @mynith So if I sell my feces for $300 that means its really really good shit? Daaamn I love that reasoning off to ebay I got ima sell my 8 year old server for $9000 and stick an apple sticker on it :D

  • Apple always creates the best of commercials.

  • MACS ARE FOR RICH RETARDS

  • Jack Bauer's voice XD

  • id like to see intel labs

  • OMG... why is it that always when Macs are in a vid there is argument on which is better Mac or PC. It depends on personal likes. what YOU like the best IS the best. At work I use PC and I love it, at home I use Mac and I love it. It is like arguing which is the better color green or yellow, it depends on your taste, both colors are great but may have different applications that suit teh one more than the other.

It actually is really sad to argue on what is better, as if it actually matters.

  • This ad hurts..

It literally states, that you have to use a limited stuff, to free your life -_-"

  • hmmmm....set free? Don't you mean boxed in? Last time I tried to open up a Mac...well I almost had to break it open. And what do you know? My PC has a panel that slides right open! Free? Wait Apple is notorious for locking down their software to anything but their own developers...free? uhhhh.

    false.

  • @evolutionist79 You must really suck with computers. If your going to compare computers you should really compare models that function the same way. If you compare a PC desktop and a mac pro, you will see that there is just as easy to open and upgrade both. If you compare a PC desktop to a iMac or MacBook, your just stupid. Then you have to compare iMac to an AllinOne machine, and a macbook to a laptop, and then they are just as easy/hard to open. Btw, it´s free to develop apps for mac ;)

  • @HHvitsten what are you talking about? I never was comparing a PC desktop to an iMac or MacBook. No I am right. It costs $100 a year to develop. I was also being slightly facetious- I didn't actually almost break the Mac open. It's a joke. My whole point was that the commercial's slogan was slightly ironic. But that obviously was a little over your head. Oh and "your" grammar sucks.

  • @evolutionist79 My bad! Didn´t get the joke because a lot of people says things like that without even trying. Btw "Distribute Mac apps on the Mac App Store now $99/year" doesn't mean that it cost money to program, just to put it on the mac app store, something windows haven´t got (if you use windows). Free to program if you distribute yourself. Yea, agree with the slogan, and yes my english suck, its about 7 years since I spoke or wrote english, and wasn't very good at it back then ;)

  • @HHvitsten Your point is correct, but if we take a look at the price tag you still might want a PC laptop/desktop ;)

  • @SuckerBullet Buying a pc is simular to buying a car in some way. If you just want a car that works, and don´t have the money to buy a car thats fast and is going to last long, you go for a ford, but if you got the money you go for a mercedes. I´m not saying bad things about ford (I have a ford :P) but in my experience my macs have lasted much longer then my pc´s. Both in performance and os-support. So its a matter of choice, and usage, like gaming, then go for pc. This is just my opinion :)

  • I only watched this video to hear Kiefer Sutherland (AKA Jack Bauer)

  • is it just me or that's actually jack bauer's voice..

  • i saw an Emo at 0:13 on the right side !

  • *jerks off*

  • What do you mean "dull little tasks?" Oh wow, now an Intel processor can be in a mac so a hipster can surf the web at starbucks, that's not dull at all! Idiots.

  • @CaptainCarthex the mac is good for stuff such as, movie editing and photography etc, what this ad is trying to say is PC's are doing dull things.. word processing, databases, etc when the power of the intel chip could be doing more fun things like what i mentioned (media)

  • Just to settle the arhument, both PCs and Macs are awesome, it just depends on what you use them for. Anything creative, like film-making or art, Macs are best. Anything office-based, or for gaming, PC is best. That's it, you cannot reasonably dispute that no matter how much of a fanboy you are, and that's all there is to it.

  • @crispymongoose dat's why I think 99% use PCs

  • @htainlintha

    Unfortunately, that's true...

  • Comment removed

  • @KILLAHgreenmonkey Unfortunatelly, im having pc and that machine feels free as hell with the same procesor inside ... for lower price.

Actually maybe little more free because, i have many more options with pc components .... but of course ... the thing is ... what are you imagining under term of "freedom" :-)

  • @crispymongoose

back when mac came with its color display and first real gui, it was the best choice for graphics designers. this is no longer the case my friend. ANYTHING you can do on a mac can be done on a pc for the fraction of the price.

  • @crispymongoose

creative stuff? really?! well its kinda hard to do alota creative work (at work) when a MAC PRO [intel 2.8 Quad; 1 GB GPU; 8GB RAM] keeps crashing on me almost everyday! I've started to resent MACs greatly!

just for kicks I rendered out the same stuff on a PC (Which is 3 yrs old n runs Vista x64; 8GB RAM; 512 GPU) it took less than half the time!

Weird ha? and my PC costs less than half of what the MAC costs!

  • Comment removed

  • @crispymongoose You wanted to say: "Macs was best". The thing is, inside of pc you can have the same HW like in the mac .... and what is better you can have ten times better HW inside. That means way more options under hand of proffesional thats building pcs for less more money. Im even not talking about SW options OS including, services, blablabla, .... That means ... alot of bonuses for lower price. Thats reasonable argument against paying only for brand and design or no? :-)

  • @crispymongoose well, the fact still is that there are WAY more programs for pc for anything, ANYTHING! take it from me, in the music industry, i use a couple of products: ableton, traktor scratch, serato, fl studio and much more. HALF OF THESE arent offered on mac and alot have driver issues and compatibility problems. same goes for programming, the film industry, photography, design, etc. also, the price. my custom pc cost me $3000. if i bought a similar machine from mac, it would cost $7000!

  • @crispymongoose There's that, true. But you also have to consider how badly so much Windows software sucks.

  • @crispymongoose

What exactly makes them the best for film-making or art? The pre-loaded software that comes on them?

There's only one legitimate reason I have ever heard for a Mac being better than PC (text-handling and rendering) and that was long ago I couldn't even tell you if it applied anymore.

PC's can do everything a Mac can do and, better yet, they do it for much cheaper. Much cheaper.

Microsoft is a software company, Apple is a hardware company. Overpriced hardware company.

  • @Ferethen Superior plug and play, superior GUI, reliability, less viruses, etc.

  • @ericblr PC- plug & play yes, usb 3.0 yes, gui depends on the user & his/her ability, I haven't ran any sort of virus protection on any of my pc's since vista sp2, & when it comes to upgradeing mac's are lacking horribly.

I hate that everybody and their mom who has a mac thinks they're better because they're easier to use and have less problems etc....

Maybe if you kept your shit up to date, stayed off malicious websites, & had some brains you wouldn't have a shit pc.. & btw I'm a mac fanboi.

  • @canthony1019 That's the point though. You DON'T have to update anything. You don't have to do fuck all and it just works. No USB mis-syncs, no viruses, no nothing. It just works. That doesn't work with PC's so you're either lying or you don't do anything on this unprotected PC.

And you being a Mac fan boy is irrelevant.

  • @Malosovich don't have to update my ass, let me see you try to run Final cut pro x on the first gen intel imac's even with everything upgraded from the factory it takes forever to even open, unlike my editing pc dual booting os x lion & win. 7 with half the ram & a dual core processor which loads it instantly. & yeah i've been virus free for nearly 4 years now without the help of virus protection. don't believe me then i'll b glad to upload a vid right now.

  • like i said every douche who owns a mac thinks they're the gretest thing ever.

  • @canthony1019 And you're trying to balance it out by being an argumentative moron?

  • @Malosovich looks like you're doing the same, you have no room to talk asshole.

  • @canthony1019 No.

  • @Malosovich "It just works"

Have you ever Google'd "mac problems"?

  • @IAmSomeoneOrOther Yes I forgot that this boils down to fanboy rhetoric and as such forgot to spoon feed my opinion. Heres my opinion - I buy Macs because they are the most reliable machines that require the least amount of effort to run and maintain. I know they have flaws and failures as every machine does - goes without saying. The fact of the matter is that they have far fewer faults thus are more desirable. When an alternate machine offers that, I'll buy that. Until then...

  • @Malosovich You are aware certain Linux distros (Arch and Mint, for example) fit both... "points" perfectly.

  • @IAmSomeoneOrOther I wasn't until recently, no, but I have some interest in it. It doesn't seem to be widely accessible nor does it come widely (UK) preinstalled on optimized hardware, so 'perfect' is a stretch but yes I am aware, since I'm not keen on dropping another £900 for the next Macbook I'll inevitably need.

  • @crispymongoose PC sucks

  • So strong - but for what use when you can't even play Crysis or.. basically ANYTHING?!

  • @peterinfamilyguy can you run I-Life, includes great software for creativity and media I-Work ?, a great software package for office but it seems fun ?, no if gaming is the only thing you can bring to the table then you have failed in the comment, i want more, what more can a PC do ?, hope to hear a response soon

  • Is that the voice of Kiefer Sutherland?

  • Well its true mac was on an intel bashing game before this, but even though after all the bashing, when intel still partners with MAC, it shows how even intel realises the potential of mac.

    PS: not saying pc sucks

  • they will see us waving from such great heights come down nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • contradiction much? /watch?v=jSYr-Tx8vEI

  • Small and simple = MAC

PC = Endless possibilities, your mind and knowhow are the limit

  • @supramanz invalid point

  • @PeopleR2sensitive no Apple doesn't do that, people that like apple do. PCs suck.

  • Apple is just a company that will bash every company that it doesnt agree with and will pretend their friendly. Macs suck.

  • This video is beautiful and well done. The narration ruins it.

  • I was trying to guess where they were gonna put it that was so exciting. I thought maybe colonoscopy cameras...

  • Ironic how they were bashing it before this?

  • dull tasks? killing necromorphs in dead space isnt a dull task. Its just f'ing creepy.

  • I got a better solution for this. Build a Hackintosh! its EPIC WIN!

  • @SakuNaru94 the director was a lazy prick though and decided to reuse the Postal Service video for this commercial

  • looks like the music video for the postal service's music video for "such great heights". i hear the same director was used for both.

  • @cokefan3 that's because Intel did suck compared to PowerPC in the 90s to early 2000s then Apple saw Intel's better offerings C2D vs G6 and switched from their arch nemesis- IBM to their new BFF- Intel

  • @dude954 just like windows

  • imagin the posabilities? what like mac getting a blue screen?

  • @Satan820 you're an idiot. The blue screen is caused by Microsoft's software, Windows.

  • @blowinginthemind its called a joke dumbass -.- jesus christ

  • Apple: Damn, Intel u fucking suck

    Intel: Cool story bro

    *Years later*

Apple: Omg halp can we use ur cpu's?

Intel: Only if u suck our dick

  • I can't believe Intel that Intel agreed to participate in that Apple ad. If I was Michael Dell, I would have been furious about Intel treating my computers as dull little boxes performing dull little tasks.

  • Imagine the possibilities.... The possibilities of being closed source.

  • I have a computer like that one in the commercial, it's three years old, but still faster than brand new PC's.

  • @setta91 it might be faster than cheap dells but 9 out of 10 computers today are probably faster and cost considerably less - even the cheapest macs today are probably faster than what you have

  • is keifer sutherland the narrator.

  • Fuck Windows, fuck Mac, fuck all you fanboys, I'm heading off to Linux!

  • @ShadowRSonic So you're a linux faboy. How does this make you any better? Why do you have to hate everything you're not using?

  • @d4ark

I do use Windows, and I don't hate Windows. I'm just saying there's a fucking shitton of windows and mac fanboys constantly attacking eachother, whereas for linux there's hardly any. A nice, simple OS without all the fanboys. :)

I use Windows for gaming, however I am considering a switch to Ubuntu.
