Girls have been playing Tabla for a long time although not great many of them.

Anuradha Pal and Rimpa Shiv are great examples of top-class players... I would match them against any male table player with the exception of Zakir..

She's great. I would like to learn to play. I always did better keeping rhythym with my fingers than drumming on a kit. I've messed around on djembes and bongos. But I really like the sound of the tabla.

Careful though with your right arm, you should fold it less by sitting more backwards. Keep little more distance between your legs and the drums, and you're perfect !

Superb...!! @Jamshed09 - The myth is completely wrong...Must chk Anuradha Pal (Zakir ji's Stdnt ) in youtube, and Rimpa Shiva..They are now very famous ....There are many female tabla players coming up now....

There is a chauvinistic myth among certain male players that "female can never play tabla....and if she can play....cannot play well". I think Hina has challenged that pseudo and self serving myth with a great example!

May you explore hidden treasures and vistas of the world of melody that is far real world than ours...chaotic world!

hay... u r really good... but need to know bilambit tin taal before u start yur kayada just after the mukhuda... the kayadas are od traditional delhi gharana.... just try a kayada of ajrada gharana
