I don't have a problem with the actual content of the ads; and I do know that they serve their purpose for funding the show, however, all of this product placement is sort of taking away from the DIY state of mind the show is trying to represent. Threadbangers was awesome when it first started. Maybe it couldn't afford all of the giveaways, traveling, etc. But it proved resourcefulness! Bigger isn't always better in the DIY world, no?

I find the T Mobile ad the most offensive I have ever seen. She not only has to look after her children and her 'child husband' by finding them 'binkies' but she also has to be fit and thin. The idea that not only must she run but she must be available 'street by street' shows how controlled she is by the men in her life. Compare that to the free living couch surfing man ad and you wonder a) why would Threadbanger be happy to have these ads on their show and b) where be the feminism?

That was the best episode I've ever seen of this show. It had interviews, a detailed instructional video and coverage of a big event. I love the longer episodes like this. especially when you mix it up with lots of people.
