No offence mate but i dont get blokes who rip up to the bumper of a car like a noble. In traffic between 40 and 60 anyone can keep up, but as im sure your now aware as soon as a nice strech of open road comes along you may aswell be in reverse!! I sergest next time you get behind one, you pull over in a lay by and turn your engine off as a sighn of respect for a propper motor!

I'd really like to have another encouter as i've now spent alot of time on track & have learned how to drive my car fast & have significantly improved it's Power to weight. He's probably gonna still fuck off mind you, but not quite as severely. Earlier this month at the dyno i made 318bhp/1285 kg;247bhp/tonne, however the M12 GTO has 352 BHP/1080 kg;325bhp/tonne!!!

N.B. I don't doubt that the Noble is fast. A fibreglass kit car, with a Mondeo engine is not a "propper motor" in my book.

Get ya facts straight, 1; its a production car, and the only thing from the "mondeo engine" was the block, virtually everything inside the engine block (and around it) was performance parts from many performance companys.... and even the mondeo block wasnt used in the GTO 3 & 3 R.

An ST205 is much better than that cock in a POS Noble build in a fucking shed. You can but powerful engine in an piece of plastic you want but it will never have the my respect.

In every respect the Noble is a class above the ST205. Handles better, is lighter, the bodywork won't rust, and it's MILES faster. Mine is running 427bhp/tonne and it's by no means anywhere near as fast as some of the others. If you think a car designed by a family with a history of racing car and world speed record designing is crap then feel free to keep the mass-produced Jappo stuff. Have you been to the Noble factory? Hardly a shed... And I don't reckon many drivers worry about your respect.

Oh please, Noble is living in the past. They think modern is putting big engines in a plastic body. Noble was founded in 1999, Toyota was founded in 1937. What does that say, hmm? Not to mention that the Noble founder sold the company in 2006, probably got so feed up with it.

They're not a kit car, they're all factory built, and it's a very heavily reworked, twin-turbo version of the Ford V6 that just happens to go in the Mondeo too, albeit without forced induction and in a very different form internally.

Cheers dude, It made 282 BHP at the flywheel when i had it down at Surrey Rolling Road last year. I'm planing on hopefully taking it up to 320ish when i fit my boost controller & a few other little bits. At the moment all my efforts are going into tuning the chassi, as i do some competitions in the car & the more i can get out of the handeling the better.

Round where i live (dont think its Southall) there are loads of people who drive Porsches, Audi RS4's etc that use it as a status symbol rather than a car to be driven. So i often "try it on" as it otfen intices them in to having a tear up, i knew that if the Noble wanted to it would hose on me, it's got a power to weight ratio of about 350 per tonne & iv'e got about 250 per tonne, but it was nice of him to drive it.

Last time the micra was dyno'd she ran 270bhp..210 torque.. 0-60 in 3.4seconds.. standing 1/4 in 12.6.. fully rebuilt using je pistons 272 hks cams/cam gears..fine tune belt ect and the latest garrat gt3071r bb tubby.. run with the hydra nemisis ecu with only 1 bar of boost... the car was built by me from scratch. now to get the 205 to high 12 second 1/4 would need 10k plus spent and gale force wind behind it.! Celica st205 comes 250bhp standard, but I reckon most 205's on the roads have had the boost upped to 1.1bar taking them to c.290-300bhp.

Obviously this wasn't where they were but I somehow can't see a Noble keeping up with an ST205 on the GT4's home turf.....ie a rally stage. Mine will soon be running around 300bhp, yea I wouldn't try it with a Noble but there are plenty of much more expensive cars that an ST205 can trounce.

I dp agree it was slower, and over weight but, it still hit 60mph in 6.5 sec, thats pretty good if you ask me, then compare that with the noble hitting 60 inmph in 3.7 sec? The Except the LP640 but that has almost twice the bhp and 2x the cylinders that the Rousche tuned duratech has.
