Let me make another point. Jason made a catch Manny couldn't of made if he tried. Jason got a triple which Manny couldn't of done (and wouldn't of hit a homer, for his lack of trying) So let's face it, Boston is over Manny, Jason pretty much did what he was hoping he would do all day... he got two standing ovations in one game. He helped big time for this win. Jason, pellat Manny's career with those big monster triples.

If manny was out there on that play, there would've been a run scored and maybe even a double if he rolled around on the grass with the ball under him. And for the triple, Manny would've tried to get to second but would've gotten thrown out. I love Jason Bay, he's my new man crush right next to Tom Brady and Milan Lucic.

I'm glad he's in Boston. The team got younger, faster, and better defensively because of it. All the while the Yankees became older again acquiring a catcher in mid-season. We made the same mistake back in '06. Pudge is a great hitter and a future Hall of Famer, but he doesn't know that pitching staff.

We all love Manny, but any real sox fan would say that it was time for him to go. It was getting too much for the team to handle, he just quit on them. I'm sure Bay will be a solid baseball player, he may not put up the manny numbers but in reality it's the best deal that they could get and we should just face it that's hes gone and move on.

Bay might be the 2008 version of Orlando Cabrera. He was traded for a disgruntled player who had questionable dependability at the time and would probably walk at the end of the year. Bay has been a 30 HR 100 RBI guy playing for the Pirates and in a much more challenging park for right-handers. Plus he's in Boston for '09 too. Welcome to Boston Jason!

I'm a very loyal Pirate Fan, and have a ton of respect for Jason Bay. Met him once, and was impressed with his personality, and of course always impressed with his talent. As much as I love watching our Buccos play, and very sad to see him leave Pittsburgh, I am happy for Jason, that he will have more of a chance to go to the play-offs and maybe even World Series. Ya never know! I've watched him play for years, and don't think there's going to be a problem with any pressure.
